If BST bump, they'd better make sure he gets at least 1200 BST and no other crappy legend like Mewtwo surpasses him again since he's supposed to be the PokeGod.

Mewtwo is once again the king of legendaries. Just as he should be.
I used to dread the thought of a Mega Arceus existing in the future until a comment by Aura made me realize, how would such a thing even work? A Pokemon has to hold a mega-stone to be able to mega-volve, and Arceus typically relies on its plates as held items, so not seeing how Mega Arceus would be possible, gameplay-wise.
Plus too, it's commonly the more/most popular Pokemon that tend to get the mega form treatment (Mewtwo and Charizard getting two for being super popular compared to the rest). Is Arceus even popular enough to warrant getting one?
Regardless, Flaygon's butthurt over Mewtwo dethroning Arceus brings me such bliss.
Mega Y Mewtwo also has the Insomnia ability which counters the worst status ailment in the game. It's definitely not the best ability but next to the typical Pressure and Arceus' Multitype it's a godsend.
That said, if they ever make a Mega Arceus his ability is going to change too, so it's definitely not out of the question.

Stop giving them ideas. Such an abomination should not exist.

It brings me almost as much joy as the Mewtwo fanboys' reactions when Mega-Charizard X stomped Mewtwo... 😛
Don't get me wrong; as one who normally chooses fire starters I certainly don't mind Charizard being consistently depicted as superior to Blastoise, but it KO'ing Blue's with a Fire Blast was just bullshit, like Ash's Pikachu KO'ing a ground type. Aim for the horn!
Xerneas is already one of the most broken legendaries right now.
Giving it a Mega Evolution would put it on a tier of its own.
Mega Mewtwo surpassing the PokeGod didn't make any sense.
Ok, it's probably fan-service to all the old-school Pokegamers. But giving it a BST higher than the PokeGod? The hell?
There's way too many "inferior" legends that now compete against Arceus w/ ExtremeSpeed + Scarf.
I think a Mega Evolution is a bad idea. It would hurt the mythos of the PokeGod.
The best thing for GameFreak to do is to give Arceus the Protean ability + BST boost to at least 1000
They should probably fix the fact that Arceus needs a held item to change types, that way he could be more powerful than Mega legendaries without needing a BST boost (he'd be boosted by items, Normal Arceus is still superior to Mega Mewtwo if we consider the potential increases that come with Life Orb and such).
Protean would be an awesome ability to have for Arceus though 😛
Hell, Life Orb in some instances can make certain Pokemon like Mewtwo more deadly than them even having their respective mega-stones. Making them have their megaforms is still usually the cooler thing to do though. Just wish Mewtwo was able to have Close Combat for its X form, which I noticed Blaziken and Medicham also lack, so Lucario's the only fighting type with a megaform able to learn it by default (I know there's Superpower, but still).
If Mewtwo dethroning Arceus was fanservice to please the old-school poke-fans and reel them back in, what would GameFreak have to gain from giving Arceus such buffs in the future then? Again, is Arceus even that popular? I know it's not on Mewtwo or Charizard's level of popularity. I think only a certain number of fans or some thread war fanboys would actually care or want Arceus to be put back on top, which isn't much compared to the amount of fans (including myself) that were happy about Mewtwo taking it back from Arceus.
As for Xerneas, hardly matters if it's one of the most broken current legendaries. Popularity is mostly the factor in which they decide to give certain Pokemon megaforms, whether they actually needed it to hold their own in battle or not. Garchomp sure as hell didn't need that megaform that it got; balance be damned.

Yeah, I guess I'll give Arceus credit there where credit is due, although gen 4 does have other very popular 'mons like Lucario.
Yeah well, Lucario is kind of a pretty marketed pokemon. There are a few winners like Abomasnow and Garchomp too. But then again, they don't hold a candle to the popularity that Hoenn pokemon ended up having, just look at how Mega-evolutions are distributed between générations, it's pretty ridiculous.

There's a huge influx of gamers now using OP Pokemans like Mega Charizard X, Mega Mewtwo X, Xerneas, and Mega Garchomp in the Uber battles.
Kyogre and Extreme Killer Arceus are no longer as deadly as they used to be.
Why is Arceus being the PokeGod so important again?
I mean, even lore wise he's not treated as that big of a deal. No one in canon actually worships him, and if they do they're pretty much exclusive to Sinnoh. Which, IIRC, is the only region to have an actual church (others may have things like the Soul House, but they're more on the order of respect for the dead.) Sure he created the universe, but uh, so?
Heck, in the Anime he lost his plates to a meteor. Mystery Dungeon Rayquaza was more powerful than that. Dialga and Palkia each almost destroyed the universe, and their BSTs have always been equal to Mewtwo's. So forgive me if I don't think Arceus not being the absolute best is a huge deal.
I dunno.
Kyogre is not deadly because weather got nerfed, not because he's no longer a powerhouse. Arceus will still be a big deal, but people are currently hyped about Xerneas. Hopefully Arcy will get a new move in the new games or something.
@Scenario: Arceus does have a big fanbase, he also happened to have the highest BST which made sense all things considered. It was a good thing in general because it spoke of how balanced worked, Arcy wasn't invincible because his stat distribution was flexible but not optimal for a particular role. Taking that away from his is less elegant of a situation, even disregarding his "god" status.
