I dunno maybe your right but the things is ive admitted to being wrong many times on this forum, so I dont see how I see how this case is any different. for The dad, a heart surgeon who works full time spending quality time with his children would be fairly rational behaviour

I got the impression that he was using the parents stupidity as an excuse as further justifcation for giving up. He wasnt doing that?
