Go ahead and lowball World War Hulk, he's got feats. Running out of gas against World War Hulk is not a low feat, Superman has been knocked around by FAR less than Shultron and without the context of Sentry's fight with her. Which involved Sentry being ordered not to hurt Tony and distract Shultron. And before Avengers/Invaders I absolutely believe Sentry would take down Quasar and be a good match for Thor.
Wtf is the Worf effect? There was no need to establish Sentry. You're acting like Marvel fanboy KMC-posters kidnapped Nicieza and wrote a quick storyline just to amp up Sentry's level. Curbstomping Terrax and overloading Absorbing Man already put him near that level. Now that I think about it, post-Crisis, the Apokoliptan battle-suit does make it's first appearance in Public enemies. Which is later destroyed by Superboy-Prime. And I can't remember whether in the last dozen issues of Justice League, during the Injustice League stories whether Lex was engaging Superman in his replacement suit of his own tech. I'll have to look at those issues again.
Sentry has never shown a lack of confidence when in a fight. He may be reluctant to get involved, but he never stops in the middle of the fight and goes, "Oh noez!!!1 I am so unconfident in my ability!!!11" distracts himself and gets sucker-punched. His lack of confidence makes him reluctant to fight, but once in a fight, it doesn't matter. Oh and his agoraphobia. You're going to assume that Sentry might just forfeit half of his fights by not even coming to the battle-field? Oh yes. I'm sure that's what the thread op was contemplating. And Sentry's lack of control over the Void has only hindered his fighting ability when there are innocents about or the character has intimate knowledge and preys on it specifically. Sentry stays in character, but his kind of CIS is not the kind of CIS that Superman will either know about, let alone be able to manipulate to his advantage. Unless of course... you sincerely think Sentry will forfeit his fights before showing up, despite the default rule of the combatants showing up. Strike 1.He crushed Terrax's hand like nothing. He blitzed the Collective out of Earth's orbit. He pummeled the crap out of World War Hulk. Strike 2.
Superman ran into Konvikt's fist and got KTFO. I can play the facetious lowballing game too. Burning yourself out against World War Hulk is not a low feat. WWH had the strength to halt classic Juggernaut's advance and one-shot She-Hulk, Thing, three-shot Invisible Woman's shields and Hercules. WWH had the durability to withstand Skrull-Bolt's voice that knocked a piece of the Moon the size of Rhode Island off and resist Zarathos' hellfire. WWH had the near-instant healing factor to recover from Kitty Pryde's phase into the ground and heal a gaping hole in his gut in one panel. Slap that altogether and Sentry did better than any foe involved save for maybe Zom Strange. Burning out against WWH is not a low feat. Strike 3.
Sentry's top feats of overloading Absorbing Man, curbstomping Terrax and stalemating friggin Photon easily put him in Superman's class. As for naked bias? Ha. When's the last time you ever gave a Marvel character a majority or better in a thread? In fact, point me to a few threads where you've given a Marvel the nod over a DC. Show me... let's say five posts.Anybody want to take bets as to how many times Tricksterpriest has posted that a Marvel character would win in a vs battle against a DC character? I'll be the house.
