I think it was 6 days and it was in the 23rd century so it doesnt count. Mutants sometimes get more powerful the longer thay have their power so we could assume that was what happened.

btw, the Wolverine/Gladiator fight isn't canon. If it was, you'd also have to accept that Glads can break primary adamantium.
