Thanos once killed an several hundred Ovarian (spelling) mercenaries and such, but in that battle he didn't really display any skill at all. In fact, when he fought the final guy, he even got in a couple of punches on Thanos.

Hey I'm not trying to make the claim that Thanos is a uber skilled martial artist, I was just listing a couple of things that he had to his credit. I've never been one to say that he's one of the most skilled fighter, just that he IS a skilled fighter.

If Thanos dances around Champion the same way that Champion dances around Thor, then I think that it's a safe assumption that Thanos>Thor skillwise.

Also, it's possible to be lack finesse and speed but not skill. Let's also keep in mind that being a better boxer than Thor, doesn't make Thanos more skilled in H2H combat. It makes him a better boxer 🙂

Thanos beats him about as easily as he'd beat Superman.

Maybe with one hand. Maybe not.

And you can't have just a skill fight. Your own attributes or the attributes of your weapon will come into play. Thanos is stronger, faster and more durable than Thor. So...that alone gives him the edge, not to mention the skill he has.

Goob - I know you're not trying to prove Thanos is an uber martial artist. But the feats your throwing down don't even prove he's moderately skilled.

Again, defeating a planet of warriors would be cake for someone with Thanos' level of strength and durability - and we never saw a single skillful showing there, did we?

And dancing 'round the Champion like the Champion danced around Thor?

Spiderman can dance 'round Thor too, doesn't mean he's more skilled. Just that he's faster.

How do you not consider the Champion fight a skill feat? Thanos didn't really show superior speed to Champion, he showed superior skill.

Because - as indicated in both THAT fight, and the fight with She-Hulk, Champion tends to telegraph his movements in his shoulders.

Thanos noted this. Does that mean he knows how to fight? Sure. Does it mean he's even half way on the 'skill' tier? Nah.

As for that nice long fight, how much of it is hand to hand, period?

Looks to me like he saw Champion's attack coming. He stepped out of the way of a bullrush, and under a punch.

Besides that? He used his incredible strength, and even a little cosmic amping to knock champion around.

Impressive? ✅.

Skillful? ❌.

I never said that it was a HUGE skill feat, just that it WAS a skill feat. Again, I'm not trying to push the notion that Thanos has uber skills, just that he has skills.

Oh, and most certainly he has some skill. But, barring his training of Gamora, his skill seems no more impressive than your average street fighter.

As said, he ducked under a telegraphed punch, and stepped out of the way of a bullrush. Nothing a few fights of experience couldn't teach.
