Thanos doesn't get his energy powers here...

Don't get me wrong, Thanos is a very skilled fighter. However, when fighting he constantly uses his matter manipulation. I don't recall ever seeing him fight with nothing but his hands.

Im not arguing that Thor might be a little more skilled. What im saying is that Thor's skill is not that much greater than Thanos's skill to overcome Thanos's superior strength, speed, and durability.

And yes, someone who normally fights with their hands (and retains their intellect if you have to be an *******) is more skilled than someone who never uses hand to hand combat. Hulk also became a very skilled hand to hand fighter after he managed to retain his intellect.

I expected more from you actually, as your normally base your statements on showings and not hyperboles. When has Thanos ever displayed any skill without using his energy blasts or matter manipulation powers?

I gave you three showings where Thor displays skill without his hammer or any other powers. YOU TWO HAVE NO ****ING EVIDENCE AT ALL.

But your examples actually contradict what you're saying. Think about it, both Herc and Hyde are primarily h2h combatants and both of them were beaten h2h by Thor who primarily uses his hammer and energy blast/lightning bolts. So how are they automatically more skilled again?

Llag the first three panels Thanos is using only his h2h skills, and makes Champion look really bad. After that yes he shows his versatility by using blasts (which by the way is a very funny kids trick of pulling the rope really tight then letting go to make the kid fall back.. well same principle at least) and forcefields.

I'm not claiming that they are more skilled, I am claiming that it's showings of him using his Hand to Hand skills. You also know that Hercules is more skilled than Thor, you know it, you know it, you ****ing know it.

Okay, so Thor's feats are nothing compared to that? Thor has shown his hand to hand skills a lot more than Thanos. We haven't even seen Thanos use his hand to hand skills.

Thats not what i said, what i said was Thor might be more skilled, but that skills is not great enough to overcome Thanos's physical attributes. He can pound Thanos for a longtime and Thanos will keep fighting until Thor cant any longer.

Skill does not always win. Sometimes beinging physically superior is enough, especially when the disparity in skill is not that great.

So just because he has more h2h SHOWINGS automatically means that he's the better fighter? Herc has more purely h2h showings than the Taskmaster, but does that make him more skilled?

What PART of those showings indicate that Thor is more skilled than Thanos? I mean, what where the moves that Thor used to make that indication?

I never made any claims one way or the other, so I don't know what you're tripping out about(other than my not accepting Thor as being superior in skill without proof I mean).

There's no point in going on further when you completely refuse to acknowledge his skills, when Thanos has none. All you do is try to do is point out flaws in the way I debate. You don't have any actual showings that put Thanos above Thor in hand to hand skill.

Automatically more skilled? Hercules IS more skilled. I never claimed that he was more skilled because he only used hand to hand combat.

I'm not refusing to acknowledge his skills, I'm saying that I'm more impressed by the skills of Thanos. And as I said before that's a fairly logical deduction because of Thanos's superior h2h showing against the Champion(the only real measuring stick we have for this fight).

Nimbus - no one is arguing that Thanos isn't very skilled.

At least, I'm not.

We know he's quite skilled based even SOLELY on the fact that he trained Gamora. If you notice, I've been saying this entire time BARRING Gamora, he lacks any sort of showing that leads me to believe he is any more skilled than the average, untrained, but experienced fighter.

No way in hell thor is skilled enough to over come Thanos in hand to hand. thor would need his hammer just to make Thanos feel it. Thanos isn't really as skilled as thor I don't think. but he doesn't need to be.

Exactly.

People think that Thanos is more skilled simply because he ducked beneath The Champion's punch and punched him. Does anyone have any other decent hand to hand feats?

No one is saying that Thor is skilled enough to bridge the gap. Llag is arguing that Thor is more skilled than Thanos. And I'm arguing that Thanos' skills haven't been all too impressive period.

I know your not. Ive read your posts and i agree with you for the most part. I too think Thor is slightly more skilled than Thanos h2h. However, in a h2h fight skill is not always the deciding factor. There are many examples of this being true. Lightweight/middle weight boxers are usually more skilled or pound for pound better fighters (better coordination, faster combinations etc...) than heavyweights, but most Heavyweights will knock the f*ck out of lightweights. Why?... because physically they dominate the lightweights. Thats the point Im trying to make.
