Waaait, what? That was it? That was the fight I've been waiting? 😑Six pages?
Seriously...and six RIDICOLOUS pages. Not just for Namor...
Page 1...someone needs to off Humberto Ramos. That looks like Wolverine and Namor are having hot, steamy man-sex, trying to take eachother's clothes off instead of fighting. What did he use as reference? "Sex Positions for Two Men - Cartoon Edition?" Guggenheim also manages to sneak in "I'm the best at what I do" to THIS issue too...it's a cool quote, but I am getting a bit sick of it.
Page 2...Since when has Wolverine had enough strength to trip Namor like that? And why is Namor just standing there, after he's punched him? And Humberto Ramos again shows his...crazy...art in Panel Two as Namor seems to fall down like a statue made of solid steel. Right. I guess he forgot that he can make tripping ineffective by just taking flight like he did when Spider-Man threw him off balance...
Page 3...Logan, WTF? Why are you just going to dress up in middle of fight? And Namor apparently just stands there and let's him finish his little speech before Wolverine lungs at him (without claws, apparently he thinks that he can PUNCH out Namor).
Yeah, Namor is taking that fight reaaallly seriously. Notice that he also puts down Wolverine with one punch...and then read the next page...
Page 4...Uhh...🤨 What happened between pages 3 and 4? Wolverine was on the ground, and in the next page, he's magically up, and Namor is stabbed? What? Why isn't Namor trying to do anything, when he has made jokes before while having a gaping sword hole in chest and being close to miniature sun? Why he doesn't grab his arms, when in the next page, its shown that the claws did not affect him at all?
Page 5...Did Guggenheim just forget that Wolverine has heightened senses in the same way he forgot that Namor can fly? Hearing and smell good enough to spot a silent sniper from a building away? How in the hell was he snuck up on like that?
Page 6...Namor stops holding back and one-shots Wolverine. The only problem is that he also sneaks up Wolverine. Apparently, Guggenheim also forgot that Namor, one of the most honorable warriors of the entire Marvel Comics doesn't sneak up on him. My only question is, why he didn't throw a punch like that in the first page without sneaking up?
A crappy fight where both characters are portrayed stupidly on art and writing. Not a good proof on forums where they fight like they fight in majority of their fights.
