Surprisingly, I have still never used Juri (I'm testin' everyone in a straight line and I'm only on Gen). But I have played against her ALOT, people love her. In game, to see her wit my own eyes, she is pretty hot, bet that's why they main her. I can only punish that gay ass pin wheel wit SRKs and I fought her so much that I have developed incredibly bad habits.

Okay, so I've played SF:IV on four different occasions now with the last two occasions I was clocking in nearly 10+ hours each.Guile is okay still imo only, not Top-Tier, but strong enough to compete now in contrast to his SF:IV counterpart. The timer for SB feeling more like his old counterpart helps him out more so now in situations.
I still however don't ride on the Guile is so much better now mentality, and when I "tried" online a few times (Hate it, and barely got to try it, due to the fact that I'm playing with a bunch of OG peeps who also want to play as well, so we barely went online, like possibly 30 mins worth if even that long, rofl), I noticed that playing against other shoto's, nearly 99.9% of them are impatient and don't try to capitalize more on their range and footsie advantage when I'm using Guile. If they at least used that more effectively, I wouldn't be able to SB>>Zone dominate as cleanly. He's definitely improved, but again, I'm not a believer that he's "so much" better. The Hype for SSF:IV Guile to me personally feels alot like HD:Remix Guile's hype.
Some of the people who've cried foul on Ryu mod's w/ Trade Shoryuken's makes me LoL. Seriously, so during an AA you completely depended upon Trade Shoryuken into Ultra? That's completely terrible, and imo, the 2-Hit Shoryuken only helped Ryu out more so then anything else. A one situation move that you would build your strategy upon? I cannot stand some of the Ryu players today when they need to rely upon stupid gimmicks like this. I'm saying this again, zoning and footsies are even more powerful in SSF:IV then it was in SF:IV,
something Ryu excels at in SSF:IV.SSF:IV is pretty fun, I've been wrecking my OG SF crew with Ryu up to this point, even up against the new hot heads like Dudley, Cody etc, I have found no match ups at least at this moment in which I feel Ryu has a disadvantage at. This game really feels to favor Ryu more so then SF:IV although he had slightly stronger options in OG IV. Shin-Shoryuken makes me LoL on how much priority it has, it basically and practically beats out everything (At least what I've thrown it up against thus far), and when you have that Ultra up, it completely 100% changes an opponent's mentality of play.
Much like Denjin-Hadouken in 3s, it puts that much fear into your opponents into not wanting to get hit, and the smart players will almost not even try to jump in on your anymore. Although I feel Metsu-Hadouken is waaaayyy more flexible, versatile and a much superior Ultra. ShinShoryuken has way more rape and fear factor, due to how it makes opponents second guess what they'll try to do to you.
Maybe later, when I'm not bored and lazy, I'll post up some of the things that I've been doing with SSF:IV Ryu up against the new characters. Lastly, I'm calling it now...Juri is my new Hot Fun character, my goodness, I absolutely enjoy how she plays.
I have to agree with that Ryu sentiment. I can't believe all the outrage I've seen because of the changes that were made for him. He's Basically the SAME CHARACTER. So the trade SRK to Ultra is gone. Who in their right mind would think that when they announced SSFIV, that they were really goin' to keep somethin' like that in? And then they totally nerfed Sagat, so who that hell is better than Ryu in this game? People just gotta adapt to the very slightly changed Ryu. And people don't even use the MSRK at all. Everyone we fought still used the Ultra I.

If you read then you know my 360 was not moded. I had an "illegal" HD, that I was unaware of.
And yes, I do hate the state of online gaming very much and MW2, BB, and SSFIV illustrate why perfectly, ESPECIALLY SSFIV. Those games could be so much more fun if shit like this did not happen....
1. Me and my buds are no beasts and MW2 and it seems we always come across people wit Modern Warfare 2 tatted on the their Ga'damn head. Peeps wanna cuss you out over voice chat and send you terrible messages about how gay you're suppose to be. You know damn well if you were in my face, you would get phucked up for that shit. All cuz they seem to have a ridiculously hard time losing. We have met some great people but it's just too many assholes playin' that game and you really don't wanna play the same cats over and over.
2. Blazblue (BB). Game is WAAAAYYYYYYYY too noob friendly.
Can't play a Ranked match cuz, if your gamerscore is too low or whatever, they clearly assume your some scrub. And when you finally do get a chance, and you win, they rage quit 99% of the time.
Then in player matches, nearly everyone uses the 1 button special move layout and the thing is, they use it well. They try and tell you they don't have that on, but you can tell.
Not mention how the game itself is a masher's delight...just like GG.
3. And now SSFIV, the mother of all dickhead attractors.
I) VERY RARELY can you join a team battle. People don't seem to want to play wit peeps they don't know. Which I can understand, but damn, don't you wanna have a game or 2 wit some random person?
II) Appear too weak, you get kicked out. Win too much, you get kicked out (rage kick). Host your own, you have to lose on purpose just to keep people in the room. Don't lose on purpose, everyone runs and you might get that 1 guy who is willin' to fight you over and over, and then that gets boring as hell.
III) Ranked match. WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY to elite. People wont even try to fight you if your BP and shit is bellow 1000. It's like damn, I'm sorry if I don't spend 2000 hrs online beatin' up scrubs and casuals. Takes like an hour to find someone willin' to take on all challengers.
So yeah, that's pretty much why online gamin' makes me wanna vomit and did I mention 360 users have to phuckin' PAY?! I'll take a few friends and a local match any day. We use my boy's 360 to go online and I'm over there alot so I get to experience this shit 1st hand. His gamertag is "raydubsky" so if you wanna hit'im up and get the chance to play me, go for it. Warning, he aint that good, but me, oh, you'll know when you fought me, cuz you'll lose, j/K. I've been fightin them dudes for so long, my habits alone will prolly get may ass kicked.
It is not half as bad as you make it seem.
BTW agreed on all fronts about Ryu. The guy is in the top.
I chose to play Juri since the moment I saw that over the top Ultra 2 of hers. The fact she is fun to play with, is hot as hell(especially with color10) and laughs at her opponent all the time are all pros. I like using her counter and figuring out ways to punish people with them. Its amazing how so many noobs think her counter is actually a taunt.

I may have to check her out, I think once I get around to her, I'm gonna be usin' her for some time and no lie, I had forgot the move was a counter an thought it was a taunt, the 1st few times I played against her. Now when I ever even think she's about to do it, I just do a FA. My friends be on my ass wit her, they got me doin' SRK wake ups wit out even thinkin' about (they like to stand over me and EX Pin Wheel when I get up), now they got me in the habit of doin' it all the time, even when it's not necessary.
Wakeup shoryus for the loss! Don't worry a couple of matches with someone that is going to punish you every single time should fix that. Juri also has a kara-throw though it doesn't have the range of Mr. Masters. It works kindda like Vega's and it helps her a bit since her throw range is like non-existant and her walking speed is horrible--still nice to keep your enemy guessing by combining her slow walking with dashes here and there. Kindda funny since she tries to grab you with her leg which should give her a little bit more range.
I thought Rose's 2nd ultra was going to suck ala Cammy's but it is actually quite useful and rapes as anti-crossup

Have had quite a few of those actually, I'm slowly gettin' out of it.

I bet you Cammy and Fei Long's counter Ultras are gonna be called OP ass hell in the next few months, people just aint usin' it right. What do you think about Juri's UI. I never see anyone use it?
Juri's U1 is cool. I have used it in a couple of matches and I have to say that once a single poke of her lands she is going to do big damage since you can link normals on the fly, ex moves and even the super. Problem is the same as all the "Power up" moves IMHO. Actually getting there and and chasing after the opponent. It provides mind games since once you activate it your opponent goes on the run. I won match by activating it 5 seconds before the match ended. My opponent was slowly chipping life away from me and I noticed the time. I knew he would run like hell so I just activated it for the hell of it and he did as predicted. U1 will not be getting much use as of now because U2 can actually be linked and does good damage with easy setups(but sometimes the dive kicks whiff so it sucks)
I would be happier with Juri if at least her dive kick had more priority. Screw her getting more priority on normals...that is what her U1 is there for. However I know once solid strategies for her become known more people will be using it. I sometimes choose U1 because I hate how the lag makes me lose the input for U2 after the opponent bounces off the wall. It is really annoying eating over 350-425 points of damage for whiffing the ultra when you did it right =\

the only way to make them good is to be able to get in your opponents head.. or MAKE them attack, which isn't going to happen
they get beat out by projectiles, armor breaks, ultras (due to armor breaks) , grabs.. and probably a few other things I'm missing
I personally find them a blast and refreshing to use.. and also enjoy the risk.. in fact, I wish there were more than 2 counter ultras
do any of you guys think Rufus Ultra II is crappy?.. one time I used it against bison doing scissor kicks.. which I was assuming would juggle after me beating it out... but nope.. bison teleported (as in, skipped right from the scissor pose, to his laying on the ground pose) right to the ground.. and laid there .. got up and blocked like 2 hits of chip after.. my jaw dropped, and I dont have it in me to pick up this ultra again lol
ugh.. missed edit time..
but this looks pretty damn cool

* it's two quarter-circle forward and three punch buttons... maybe you got confused because the Shinryuken move uses kick buttons in previous SF games...

I'm not gonna sit here and lie to you and say that Seth on Hardest is easy, he uses his punishable moves far more wisely and I may lose with my other bests once or twice but with Ken...he is a piece of cake.
Leap over his stretchy arm and attack.
Leap over his vacuum and attack.
If he does pull you in, block low.
block his kick move and attack.
if he wall jumps, just jump STRAIGHT UP and attack
if he wall jumps and your gauge is full, do what Satsu said. Works really well.
You just gotta be patient wit him and don't randomly jump in.
So I've been fighting a lot of Bisons and I don't think he got any noticible beefs eventhough ex psycho crusher can go through fireball. It still sucks and I am not at the very least threatened by it. THe fact his normals are not what they used to be makes matters worse for him because I am not just going to sit there and let him blockstring me to death. His U2 is excellent on wakeup though, but now that I'm aware of it i they are going to work for it. it also shuts down fireballs.
I have been fighting a couple of decent guiles and eventhough his U2 makes you think twice about fireballing them and his sonic booms are faster the fight just goes down the same to me. Maybe it is me being used to the matchup. In one match I was using Ken I had him cornered and I missed how many heavy punches hit him. So he was down to 1/4th of his life and I ex crossover tatsu and link to Ultra....he was stunned, the ultra missed and I ended up in the other corner. Wow I still need to work on shit like that not getting to my head. I know I should've known a dizzy was coming up, but daaaaaamn. Once I finally get to nail the crossover bang. Having to work like a bad mofo once again got to me. Ken vs Guile wasn't exactly funny in SF4, but in SSF4 is a bit more frustrating with those faster sonic booms. Though I have come to appreciate Ken's better recovery. Anyways I lost my mind when that shit happened and totally played like crap in the final round =\
