Is it true that Ken can Ultra Ryu's Ex-Tatsumaki after the first hit even if all hits land?

WTF are you even saying? Even if the first hit hits and even if all hits hit...

I was watching a video about BnB Ryu combos and the guy went on to put some glitches. Then he commented that Ken could Ultra his way out of Ryu's Ex-Tatsumaki after the first hit, and even if all hits connect. Is that more clear?

LoL. I just fought this Ken scrub that managed to take out half my bar when I was busy checking this forum. He taunted me at the beginning of the 2nd round and paid for it. Ended up perfecting his ass with a stun followed with a FA and Metsu Hadouken. 3rd round he only managed chip damage with Ken's ExShoyuken. He kicked me out of the party afterwards. uhuh

For the record I focus attack absorbed his hadoukens to get the ultra. biscuits

Ken's ultra can definitely be used, but its quite hard to juggle with it and it doesn't do as much dmg when you do it. Gouki is cool. He has got some nasty combos.

Yeah Ryu's hadoukens are fast, but Sagat's are even faster. God damn monster he is.

Who knows.

It looks to me like those strings caught the other player by surprise. Its also quite possible the Rose player never saw a string like that and therefor had difficulty blocking the crossover.

In order to pick that costume you need to select the last color.

That was a great comeback from the Sakura player, and her ultra was never used.

IF you get hit by the Ex hurricane kick, even by just the last hit, you will be smacked to one end of the screen. It shouldn't be possible.

True but there is a glitch that happens every now and then that makes the character getting pummeled by the tatsu to stand still and block the rest of the hits even after the 1st hit landed. I noticed this glitch when I was practicing Ryu's final hard trial.

Then it's not reliable and you should never try it.

You don't want to exploit glitches anyways.

I'm not looking to exploit the glitch. I don't even main Ken. I was just asking if it was true that Ken could do that if he got lucky with the glitch. Nothing more.

It shouldn't be possible but if you can't identify how/when it happens it would be useless to suggest anyway.

I wasn't suggesting anything. I was merely asking, and I wasn't the one who claimed Ken could to it. It was the dude in the video. Hell I'm going to post the video so you can see the standing glitch for yourself . What bothers me if they findout how to know when its going to happen which would suck for me since I main Ryu. uhuh

BTW it isn't just Ken who can glitch, I've had Dan glitch on me too.

Then don't EX Tatsu. Doesn't seem like a huge deal. Most people can't use it properly anyway and there are only a few moments where you can do it without leaving your ass wide open.

Right. Don't Ex-tatsu when it is the easiest way to link Ryu's ultra when the opponent is in a corner. So you're suggesting I stop doing 1 of Ryu's best ExMoves. BTW I know when to pull it off. I'll have to switch to ExHadouken though its a tiny bit more tricky.biscuits

Well the thing is though you have to actually hit your opponent with the EX Tatsu AND they have to allow you to corner them. Most people are not going balls to the wall in the corner so it's not a great idea to keep shooting for that because a decent player will block and wait a moment when cornered.

EX Hadoken is much more reliable because it has faster recovery. Projectiles offer more space and you can't Ken flow chart your way out of this set up.
