Quit trying to make sense of it.

The writers, almost certainly, just conveniently forgot about it .

I read an interview with Johns at the start of this storyline and he mentioned he hadn't forgotten Kyle had Starheart powers.

Well, I certainly haven't seen him remember it on panel yet - have you?

Not saying he has. It probably won't be mentioned at all in the next few issues but I also know Johns isn't the type to forget little bits of info like that.

I don't doubt it. Just...so far...?

Meh. I would have loved to see the starheart help Kyle overcome Parallax or some such, rather than a painting and Hal.

That just shows Kyle's indomitable will power. Hal needed the Spectre. All Kyle needed was Hal and a painting.

Kyle for President 👆

I woulda rather seen Kyle do it on his own.

Have him staring up into the sky at the painting he talked about so much, have the little star take the form of starheart energy, or even of jade, saying something like "Come home, Kyle, come home."

Then have him bust out solo.

Oh well.

He broke out with his arm until that damn Hal Jordan bozo tried stealing his spotlight.

He's wearing a yellow ring? He's a GLC villain.

Yes, but he's more of a Superman villain.

Indeed - hence Cyborg Superman.

However, I agree that it seems like the 'main' lanterns will be taking on the 'main' sinestro corps.

I dunno if Superman'll have his revenge. At least, I doubt it for the length of this event.

What feat? The ranx thing?

It wasn't all that big a deal. Lanterns have survived worse by virtue of their rings alone.

Unless the implication was supposed to be that he did it on pure durability, in which case, it's still no big deal for someone that's supposed to be a kryptonian cousin.

And I never said I wanted to see feats alone - I'm hoping he gets a good bit of character development, fleshing out, in GLC.

Rookie Lanterns have been killed by a lot less.

Even if he is a Daxamite, that feat is still impressive nonetheless.

Fair enough.

Yes, rookie lanterns HAVE - when their autoshields failed. When they felt fear.

Rookie lanterns also have taken a lot worse.

Nah - a no name rookie sealed a black hole on his first day.

Negro, please.

Even Hal's/Kyle's/Guy's/John's regular shielding has been broken by less (far less) than that.

Yes Lanterns have taken worse damage and come out alright, but for having such a limited amount of appearances... that's pretty damn good. 😛

Respect thread. I don't really feel like getting it, but it's a very often-referenced feat.

Yeah Soljer. You know how KMC is now.

"Scans or it didn't happen" and all that.

Back in the Pre-Crisis days, yeah.

In GL: Recharge, a rookie was killed by entering a black hole.
