Terrorism-

The use of violence or malicious threats and/or ubiquitous and pervasive fear in order to extort, threaten, or coerce.

Was it EMI that did in Ken Bigley, then?

It's illegal, so i don't do it.

i think its crap. I can listen to and record music on the radio. Bands should be greatfull for the awareness d/l provides

There's a difference between bands being grateful for awareness and bands being grateful of awareness at the expense of their music being stolen. That's the argument for people who have no argument.

You have the right to listen to music however you want once you have paid for it, but what you do NOT have the right to do is steal it and then distribute it yourself, illegally.

It's not yours to give or distribute.

-AC

What if I went to Virgin, bought the album and made someone a copy of it, after telling them how great I thought it was?

Same deal.

That's not your right. You don't have the right to distribute it how you want, at any point.

-AC

Doesn't that approach put money in the artists pocket AND get their name out there?

Yeah, but what relevance does that have?

Why not just buy the album and say "I think this is awesome. You should check it out."? Then it's up to them to do the right (Opinion, obviously) thing and buy it.

A lot of people want burned albums so they DON'T have to buy them, that's the point.

-AC

you're arguing practicallity while ac is just repeating law.

It happens to also be my opinion. I'm not arguing from law consciously, this is what I believe in my opinion, should happen.

You fiend.

I find I tend to treat burnt albums with less care than I do the ones I've spent money on in the store. So, 9 times out of 10, I end up having to buy the album anyway, to replace the one I burned that's been scratched or lent out.

There is an underground rapper from California named Aynetee (white guy with a nice flow and good message) who does not even sell his albums and just puts them on the internet for download.

Pretty damn cool. Wish more people actually loved music.
