Asteroid aren't round. This is clearly a planet they are fighting on.

A planet doesn't have to be inhabited to be classified as a planet.

I'd like to see in in-book scans of the Action Comics Annual #7. Word of mouth simply isn't reliable on these forums.

The surface of Mars is not flat. The largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons, is on Mars. The surface of no planet is flat. If you get far enough away from any planet, (like in the art of Silver Surfer Annual #7,) you will see that it is round.

Here is more proof that Surfers cosmic blasts would not effect Superman. This is from the Superman/Fantastic Four crossover from 1999. Sure its a crossover but very well written.
A direct quote from Reed Richards " Astounding! I wouldnt have hypothesized anyone could withstand A direct blast from Galactus!" Talking about Galactus blasting Superman of course.

almost killed all of MU earth heros (at his weak state)

It had a effect on him it left him unconcious for a bit. Galactus' blast are way more powerful than Surfers, even you know that. If he survived the big Gs blast he would most likely laugh at Surfers.
