A direct quote from Reed Richards " Astounding! I wouldnt have hypothesized anyone could withstand A direct blast from Galactus!" Talking about Galactus blasting Superman of course.

He took that blast when he was the Herald of Galactus. He was empowered by Galactus with the power cosmic. Without the power cosmic he would've been vaporized.

Here. Proof fighting beyond speed the speed of light. Oh I apparently know more about Surfer than you if you think Superman will win this fight.

Funny, in that scan it shows him moving that fast in space, and with his board... his cosmic power was laughed at by that other character...

He can't move that fast without that board and he can't fly without it.

Transportation: In flying the Silver Surfer usually makes use of an object known on Earth as his "surfboard", due to it's resemblance of Earth objects of that name. The Surfer's "surfboard" is a construct of unknown materials created by the vast cosmic energies of his former master Galactus. The board is covered with the same silvery glaze that the Surfer's body is covered with, making it impervious to virtually all forms of physical damage. Few forces short of the cosmic power of Galactus could affect it at all.
The surfboard is psionically linked in an unknown way with the Surfer's mind. Apparently only a being possessing the Surfer's cosmic powers can cause the surfboard to fly, and it is controlled mentally by him. The surfboard apparently taps ambient cosmic energy in much the same way that the Surfer himself does. Although the Surfer could conceivably utilize his cosmic power to fly without it, the surfboard enables him to fly without the expenditure of any of his own energy.

He can fly without it. That other character would kill supes in minutes, if not seconds.

Proof? I don't call that proof.

The Kryptonian is on the ground writhing in pain after Galactus blasted him, and only because he had the power cosmic; otherwise he'd be smoldering ashes. That certainly was not Galactus's full power. He simply blasted him to the ground, and stripped Superman of the power cosmic. If Galactus wanted to kill Superman, he certainly could have.

Now that you too consider crossovers to be tenative, (at least the reasonable ones,) I won't hesitate to use them when debating you.

Sometimes you gotta take one for team DC.

Pure unadulterated fanboyism.

At least I tell the truth unlike you.

Let's take Superman off of the defensive for a sec. How will he defeat the Surfer who is faster than him, just as if not more durable than him, and much more powerful than him?

That's the truth?

You rarely even participate in a thread.

In the 1999 crossover, Superman leaves the fight. Hulk was kicking his ass. That's a submission.

No, that is what I believe. Besides, what is Surfer gonna do? Do a planet destroying attack on Superman? WOW! Like that'll really hurt him!

And I do participate in threads, I post a one word answer. If that's not participating, I don't know what is.

Superman left? That's not what juggernaut74 said.

Well while there is no clear cut winner. If they had a points system like in a boxing match Superman would get the decision imo. Hulk first threw Superman into space, then Superman came storming back only to smash Hulk into a mountain. Then Superman picked Hulk up by the leg and and spun him like Thor does his hammer and threw him into another set of mountains bouncing threw them like he was in a pinball machine. Then Hulk spit cactus needles at Superman(wow impressive) And the basically the last punch was a left hook by Superman sending him into another damm mountain.
OMGosh! Superman had the last punch!

A planet destroying blast won't hurt Superman, but Doomsday's fists can kill him. When was the last time Superman survived a blast that would destroy a planet?

Clearly, you don't know what participation is.

Hmm. Juggernaut74 seems to have forgotten this page.

Superman certainly does not get the last punch.

I don't have a scan of the page in which Superman swings Hulk by the leg into a mountain. Maybe Juggernaut74 does.

Man we are off topic.

I already posted issue numbers and what happened showing how durable Superman is.
"Superman #153: Superman became the first being ever in the history of the Universe to defeat an Imperiex probe. He used a combination of super speed and super strength to destroy an Imperiex space construct ; said construct was capable of annihilating our solar system. Note that Superman took a blast from Imperiex, the beam aforementioned as being able to vaporize a solar system."
Last time I checked, solar system > planet.

participation: Noun
The act of taking part or sharing in something. Exactly what I do in threads. I share my idea of who will win the fight in one simple word. You must be high if you think that's not participating.

Those scans don't even show Superman submitting. All I see is Superman punching Hulk around like he was nothing. Besides, Superman can always do to Hulk what he did to Lobo:
"Man of Steel #30: Standing on Earth's surface, Superman punched Lobo into orbit and beyond with one uppercut."

Also add that in those scans Supes is trying to reason with him. He's pounding on him and Hulk is really fighting him... Had Supes been actually pissed... this fight would have been a lot more 1 sided.

I strongly disagree. However, that's another fight, another thread.

How do you propose Superman would defeat the Silver Surfer, Avalonofthewind? Surfer has faced and defeated heroes of higher caliber than Superman.

I don't understand why the Silver Surfer would not be able to drain Superman of his sunlight. To my understanding, his force field protects him from physical blows and most variety of kinetic energy attacks. If the force field can't stop Kryptonite radiation from coming in, why would it stop Surfer from summoning the energy out of him?

Give me an issue of Surfer absorbing a solar power. Better yet, let's ask juggernaut74 who has many Surfer comics.

Well juggernaut74? Has Surfer absorbed power from the sun before?

Juggernaut74 doesnt sound like he knows much about SS at all

lol do you even read Surfer Comic i have all of them

Silver Surfer source of power is Solar Energy.

When he is weak he goes to the sun and aborbs it's energy.

Surfer can Absorb many forms of energy and always use them.

a list : solar , gamma , many different forms of radiation , that's the nature of his power.

Solar is his fav , sence that's what he abosorb all the time.

It's different to absorb solar energy from the sun, he can't absorb it from Supes body
