I suppose all of SS's speed feats could easily be narrative hyperbole as well, show me a scan were SS destroys planets with his fist. Oh and thats pure speculation in terms of strength, as it stands SS has no strength feats to suggest he could easily amp himself to clarks levels.

You may not know if you could break a few wooden boards, but a competent soldier trained in Basic might, even if he never did; 2) Superman has retained his super intelligence and calculative abilities from when he was Superman Blue. In a JLA/Teen Titans crossover, everybody is trying to breach Cyborg's forcefield. He flies up in the air and thinks to himself about how he retains that type of calculative ability despite having just changed back to normal Superman and figures out exactly how intense his heat vision needs to be, how hard he has to fly into it and when the other folks have to hit it; and 3) Superman was thinking to himself about the force he was using on Konvikt. There was no motivation to hyperbolize either.
But how can superman know that hes honest about something that he has never attempted. Its nothing but hyperbole. I think that I can punch a hole in a wall but I never tried, can I really do it, well...... 😕

He said small planets but there are some planets that is smaller then earths moon.

No there aren't. There are planetoids or dwarf planets smaller than Earth's moon. Not planets.

This is correct, narative hyperbole is one thing but Supes has never been portrayed to be a"braggart"of any sort that would exagurate(sp?) feats. Besides we could easily deduce that SS speed feats are"hyberbole"in nature but we just take his word for it. At any rate aside from combat speed and physical strength I dont see clark having any real advantage...SS 7/10

I guarantee you that Superman knows the difference, however.
Originally posted by SoljerI think it's more dependant on whether the writer actually knows. After all, apparently nobody in Marvel knows that the human skull is encased in bone. But considering that Busiek actually wrote in Trinity #2, captions for John Stewart about how he still thinks Pluto is a planet despite what everybody else says... then yeah. But you can still have planets smaller than the Moon. Pluto just doesn't have sufficient mass to classify as one.
