Yea but if they are fighting in space, Superman would be getting more of a direct feed from the sun dont ya think? Thus making it harder for Surfer to absorb all of Supes energy. Just a thought. I could be wrong.

now look what a weak power cosmic blast does to the God of Thunder.

remember most of these fights SS is at a non killing mode.

You are just speculating again saying that SS is at a non killing mode even if he was he wouldn't be able to kill Thor.

Like I said so many times this fight could go either way dependent of the situation, but some of you SS fanboys just think SS will win only.

Agreed.

You are. A direct feed from the sun takes time. Time which Supes would never have. Silver Surfer could drain him with ease. Hell, he could just drain the sun if he wanted to.

Lol. drain the whole sun? Well if thats really the case and Surfer can do that, then what are people arguing about? The fight should last less than a min right?

Well juggernaut74? Has Surfer absorbed power from the sun before?

Let me answer it this way. I have every Surfer comic pulished and read evey single one. Although I have thousands of comics and read them all also my memory might be a little vague but I can honestly say that I cannot remember such a time where he abosrbed solar energy in a comic. Although I could be wrong but I dont think I am. I heard from a reliable source that various enemies have tried to drain Superman solar energy but have failed due to the auora that sourrounds his body, again this is very debateable but my source is very knowledgable on Superman but tomorrow when I visit the comic shop I will ask the owner who knows his sh!t even more than I do if Superman could be drained.

If Surfer uses solar energy, then what's stopping Superman from absorbing it?

I have a question for the some people. Better than finding an instance where Surfer drained solar energy does anybody have a example of Superman being drained of his solar energy from another opponent?

Triumph. He used his electro-magnetic powers to siphon his solar energy. Superman persuaded him not to, because Triumph was still a hero.

Issue # on that one?

JLA #31

Well I can say I dont read Superman anymore so I don not know. I am looking though some of my Surfer comics to find a example of him draining solar energy.

It's likely Surfer used the sun's energy to renew his own, not to power himself.

Surfer can use solar energy to heighten his power. Superman needs solar energy to live.

Here's a better reply. When have you ever seen Superman drain any sort of electromagnetic radiation from anyone? To my knowledge, he must absorb his sunlight directly from the sun, or from an artificial source.

There's a distinct difference between energy absorption and energy manipulation.

Nevertheless, you know that he can drain electromagnetic radiation from a subject. Sunlight is electromagnetic radiation. Superman is a subject. Not hard to put two and two together.

Draco just proved that it has been done before. There's no reason why the Silver Surfer wouldn't be able to drain the sunlight from Superman just like Triumph did.

"In JLA #41, Superman absorbed the energy of the Mageddon Warhead, a device capable, at the minimum, of vaporizing half a galaxy. Writer Grant Morrison intended Mageddon to be "the primordial annihilator" capable of literally destroying everything. Visibly distressed by the absorption, Superman still suffered no harm whatsoever, and even smiled afterwards."

And I still haven't seen proof that Surfer can absorb solar energy. Those scans kgkg posted said nothing about absorbing the solar energy.

Surfer has absorbed numerous forms of energy from the EM spectrum, just like Gamma radiation off of the Hulk. In an issue of Infinity Crusade, he absorbed energy from a binary star and used it to destroy an entire planet.
