Actually he got put on one knee by Surfer and Storm. Thor blocked his attack, then darks hit him again and knocked Thor out of the air. Then Thor gets up and wonderwoman hands him Mjolnir.
In a straight slug it out Superman has Norrin beat. So if he can slip in from the start of the match, and drown the Surfer in punches he has a 90% chance of winning. On the other hand, If Norrin is able to drain him, or negate most of his power before it's lights out he would more than likely take this.

Yeah, I thought it was Thor alongside surfer. My mistake. Also Darkseid was weakened by a blast from galactus when he oneshotted surfer.

I thought Galactus attacked Darkseid "after" Darkseid attacked Surfer? Either way, Darkseid snuck attacked Surfer and before this, he watched Surfer lay waste to his defense.
