Surfer did not turn DD and Spidey into stones either. He encased them in solidified energy.

Supes would break out of that.

In case you haven't noticed, Supes and Hulk are 2 totally different characters. Their powers work completely differently. Nobody has ever won by this method against supes.

You are really underestimating supes if you thing some flimsy cocoon is going to hold him. He goes through the earths crust effortlessly.

Surfer owns Supes with very little effort.

I have to say, this has become a long thread, with heavy attacks and defence from both sides.

Still leaning towards Superman, but not that much.

ss owns supes

With energy, Surfer wins.
With fists, Supe wins.
'Nuff said.

I would say it would be a toss up because Silver Surfer fast and more durable then Superman. and just as strong.

(sigh)... This thread was good and dead too. I'm fairly sure Jergens was talking about Superman's uber untouchableness in comics- He's Superman, therefore he wins. DC will NEVER let him lose in a crossover, no matter who he fights.

Surfer has every advantage, save pure physical strength. And his speed and durability more than make up for it, plus his energy arsenal is well beyond anything Superman can do with punches.

And just to show off the fastest hero in comicdom... Flash included...

I used to think wolvie fanboy were dillusioned but now i take it back supes fanboy are worse...this thread is still goin strong after so many pages? if supes indeed can beat SS then really we all have been fooled superman is actually a god that created our galaxy and jus came back with a human body to fool us. 😄

if he can do all that why can't he beat thanos what does thanos have that supes doesnot have that makes thanos able to beat ss on a regular basis and since thanos is a carbon copy of the original darkseide then obvisously darkseide would defeat ss as well.
ss has cosmic energy if he blast supes with it what will happen? supes probably could absorb it,.
ss can do other things like turn people into bread and suck the energy out of little kids and stop the universe from expanding and raise the dead and heal the sick shooot he basically well u know what i am getting at and they talk about dc being overpowering no wonder i stopped reading marvel
