I don't think that the fact that Superman is a little bit a better fighter, won't make much difference.
But he still IS the better fighter, and also uses his head more than Surfer. He's at least as strong and durable as Surfer, and can also fight a hell of a lot faster than Surfer.
That's why I think Superman has got the edge here.

Once again strength is a NON-factor to someone that manipulates energy and such at the level of SS.
Yeah yeah I know the drill : every advantage Superman has, is a non factor, because Surfer instantaneously will drain Superman's solar energy, or something like that, like he does with every single enemy, and Superman of course will wait until Surfer is finished, like he does with every single enemy.
Got it 🙄

Clever use of sarcasm, lol. 🍺

Let's see...More experienced fighter ? Superman.
Stronger ? (based on actual showings) Superman.
More durable ? (again, based on actual showings) Superman.
Faster ? When you mean "traveling speed" - Surfer, when you mean fighting speed : Superman all the way.
Anybody who thinks Surfer will have it easy against Superman, is fooling himself. He can beat him, sure, but not easily.
As, or more durable is the only thing i'd say Surfer has over Superman in this listing of yours.
And Surfer isn't going to use energy draining on people who it makes no sense to do so on.
Superman is like a battery, and he's been drained before.
I do think that Surfer could put Superman on his back with straight blasts of pc too, but that's me.

1. More experienced? Who knows how much action SS has seen, he's been Galactus' herald for some time.
2. More durable? Didn't SS survive being trashed by AEGIS?

Not that I'm going to bother debating with most of that, but the part of Surfer having better senses than Supes is difficult to prove at best. Especially the part where he goes past Superman's vision range. According to Lois, Clark can see where the ever expanding edge of the universe is, from Earth, if he squints. If you don't want to take her word for it, we've witnessed him peeking between galaxies without trouble. He's also been shown on panel hearing not only between planets, but lightyears away.
Correct.

What the hell does powerset mean to Superman? He could punch through the Surfer's speed, punch through transmutation, and punch through Surfer's durability advantage. If the Surfer finds another way to beat him, he'd punch through it.That's what he does. He's friggin Superman, 😛.
