By the way, Ill, any idea when you'll be able to tell us when the next matches are and who we're fighting?

hey scoob isn't it bird day over there? imagine, a day where everyone in scotland decides to hit the pubs to drink away their worries!

i'd be a lot more surprised though if a day was made up that did NOT involve drinking in scotland . . . 😬

I should have the match ups posted by tomorrow evening. We'll be using the already designated Semi-Finals battlefields.

Hmm, actually, it looks like some teams have not faced each other in this round as of yet so I need the matches to transpire in order to determine the seeding. The next battles will be the teams which have not faced eachother as of yet:

Week 4: Halls of Asgard (Marvel)[During Loki & The Frost Giants' Invasion] beginning on 1/23/08 @ 10:00a PST

Team Akuki Vs. Team Smurph
Team B-Dub Vs. Team Leo

followed by:

Week 5: Planet of Junk (Transformers: TAM)[during the Dare to be Stupid Dance sequence] match beginning on 1/30/08 @ 10:00a PST

Who are the judges for our match?

This week it's myself, Jason and Trickster.

Hmm... When are you expecting to be done by?

Personally by tomorrow.

I need to contact Trickster and Jason to remind them. I have Cresh as an alternate just in case.

And when will writeups be due for the next matches? We're working out the kinks in ours now but may not be done for a day or two.

i dunno, someone at my school said it was bird day and that everyone drinks all night on that day in scotland. 😕

i said that was EVERYDAY, but, whatever. clearly the person was clueless. and i'm just the person to tell her. 😄

6. After each round the winning team will be allowed to add a member of their defeated opponent's team to their own roster for the subsequent rounds. However, the above amalgamation and combatant requirements still apply, you simply increase the pool of characters to choose from.

does this rule still apply even though there are only 4 teams in the playoff? do we get to pick a guy from any team we've defeated along the way or only from the eliminated teams? (does that mean we'd all have to choose guys from nvr's and trick's teams??)

The rule still applies. It comes into effect after the next round (so if you win in the best of 3 semis, which is the next round, you get to take a character from the team you beat), not in this round. The 3rd and 4th place teams will be able to pick one character from the drop outs to replace their lost character for the Bronze Medal Match.

Any chance we can push the match back just a few hours? I didn't find out about it being today until last night and Smurph and I haven't had a chance to discuss making any write-ups yet.

I'll probably be able to post something by around 8pm GMT (in about 12 hours)

Yeah... seeing as we were expecting to have this week off and a write-up for next week... in a different battle locale... it was kind of short notice. 😬

Would you all prefer a normal Monday Kick off at this point? It would also allow more real life prep time. I try to be as accommodating as possible with the scheduling.

So we're starting Monday? That's fine with me, I just turned my computer on and was about to make a match write-up off the top of my head with no team discussion.... probably would've pwned with it too.

I guess now I can go find out who is actually on the team we're facing.
