No, they wouldn't... 😈This battlefield is especially interesting, actually. Particularly given the actions of a couple teams up until this point, and the special properties of Silent Hill...
Care to elaborate more thoroughly on these consequences for me Cresh. You're far better suited than I am to explain the matter to the combatants.
Alright.
Spoiler:
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Silent Hell.. er I mean Silent Hill. The choices the contestants made will now have consequences, some more dire than others. Those dire consequences come in the form of the butcher demons.
The Butcher demon are demons that, as seen in Silent Hill 2, Are directly linked to a person's subconcious. In Silent Hill 2 the butcher demon came in the form of Pyramid Head whom chased the protagonist James Sunderland around in the purgotory and hellish states of Silent Hill. Later on in the game James encounters a second Pyramid Head. This comes after he has killed Eddie. So it comes to our attention for each human a person has killed there is a butcher demon that chases them. Being linked to the person's subconcious they are completely unkillable and are very, very lethal to the person.
In James's case they took on the form of the old executioners as we may learn throughout the game, Pyramid Head's appearance was a variation of the outfits of the executioners from times past, who wore red hoods and ceremonial robes.
In Silent hill origins the Butcher demon appears with a not so large mask, but representitive of Travis's interpritation of the executioners, and serves the same function. In this case that of his slain mother.
So what does this mean for the contestants? Well the way it would normally run is that for each and every person that any given character had killed, dear old Silent Hill would spawn one demon that was a representation to that character of what an exectioner was. This demon would not be able to be killed by them and would be quite lethal to them.
Now the tournament started off with some mass murderers among the ranks. Trickster preist having Joker, though he is no longer a concern at this point, would have been at a disadvantage. So OUr Dear beloved host of the festivities decided to make things even, be it out of the kindness of his heart or from the darker side with a desire to see more than just the demons slaughtering the contestants, reset the body counts to 0 at the onset of this tournament of champions. He did not however reset it after each match so in this case you keep what you kill.
For each sentient person, be they superpowered or not, that any of the contestants killed increased their body count by one. The more innocent contestant who did not kill will have an easier time. Those of you however who felt the need to devalue the value of human life... will not so fortunate.
Delph, want me to explain the system to them?
