To be honest i really don't think this is a good idea. It really limits the abilities we'll be able to put into play because if we do anything too flashy the inhabitants will kill us, which doesn't really give us an idea of who fought a better battle of picked a better team, just who is able to stay hidden from people like Odin the longest.
No need to worry, I think you guys are all over analyzing the situation. As I said before, the characters are carrying out their own storylines as they take place in their own mediums, you're simply getting dropped in the middle of these situations. Unless you do something outlandish that would obviously draw their attention to you, like, say, co-opting a Veritech fighter to use on your opponent when the Zentraedi are destroying all Valkyries on sight, you'll be fine.
You're not going to be fighting Odin, you'll just be fighting in the middle of a larger battle.

Btw, some of these guys attack people on sight. like Cobra-La, Zentradi, Sin Corp.........in fact, now that I think about it, we're extremely likely to be attacked on sight if anyone in these battlegrounds see us. Hell, even the humans would likely attack us. Example: Area 51, we'd have to fight the US military, AND the alien armada.
