Good point.

What's the difference?

I hate to sound cliche, but shouldn't the person you fall in love with be your best friend?
Its cliche? Then call my relationship cliche because thats what happened to me. Its by far the most meanigful relationship Ive ever been in.

Yes. My wife IS my best friend. We do everything together. We always try to spend our free time together. Sometimes, we go to smack each others butts at the same time.

Yes, I see your point, Cap't. It's hard not to have one without the other. Pun intended.

The operative word there was "sound". It's cliche to say it, but it certainly isn't cliche for it to happen.

I see what you mean.

I fell in love with my best friend once. And a couple other close friends.

I'm over him now, and we're still best friends, and I'm so glad I didn't make a move or anything. I now know of his expectations for his girlfriends, and it's ridiculous. Sometimes its totally better to just be friends.

The first girl I ever had a crush on was one of my closest friends. It was about a year ago, and for some reason out of the blue, I was just totally in love with her. We'd been normal friends up until then, and I just got feelings for her, and when I found out she was no longer bisexual, my heart broke, and I just left her alone. I don't know to this day if she ever found out I liked her or not, but whatever. Doesn't really matter anymore.

She's still the only girl I've ever had deep feelings for.

Actually, one of my best friends told me that she has a crush on me, but it hasn't harmed our friendship.
To be honest, it would feel too awkward to me, so I ignore it, and we're still close friends.

yeah, you never crossed the line and took it to the next level, thats way different.

And that's my point.... 🤨

and I was agreeing with you.

Haven't fallen in love with a best friend. But am still in love with a friend.

They're married, so...Oy, un-returned love is the worst pain imaginable...

not near as bad as a love that abandons you for another.

In fact it is probably really reasonable.

It's 3 pm and I woke up 3 hours ago. No, I don't.

It was a figure of speech. It meant to imply than your absolute statements say nothing, but that you guys can't see an issue objectively.
