So basically what is happening here is-

Steve is uncomfortable with his own feelings towards same sex partners. He doesn't know how to express or how to deal with these feelings, so he projects them onto other people.

Therefore Grey Fox is so-so's boyfriend, or something about a Butt Vein, etc....

That sounds pretty accurate. It's an interesting way of thinking too, I guess I've acted like that before at times. Thanks for the info, too, I love learning new stuff like that mmm mhmm
