Well looks like we're getting another re-make of a classic horror film

First I have heard of it..........but it has to be better than the original. There is no way, no way at all a remake could not be as good, atleast, as the original.

One of the few remakes I'd be in favor of. The original is pretty shitty, but I think the story could work if in the right hands. There's much that could be improved (everything).

I actually found the first one rubbish too, the second was Good cause Jason was in it 😄

Likewise. The franchise itself isn't all that great honestly. It's more iconic than anything, whereas NOES has an iconic figure, and a cool gimmick.
I'd be for a well done remake.

I think this could be good.

i would like them to go more into jason's backstory

I agree...show his birth, in the Jason vs Leatherface comic it said he had an abusive father...that is something I would like to see also if true. Then they can show the day he arrived and drowned then skip a few years to the present where the people are arriving and start dying

I think the second is inferior to the first. Sure, the first movie has little to no plot.........just a bunch of random campers being killed by Mrs. Voorhies but the story to the second is ridiculous. Ok...she only thought her retarded son drowned? He lived in the woods for 25 years in a shack on the other side of the camp where his mother was.....grew to be a man, watched his mother get her head cut off and began killing people for revenge? Gee, he has no problem finding the camp now......why didn't he just wander back there to his mother sometime within the past 20 years or so? That movie set the stage for the cheesefest to follow. Surviving Axes to the head, being chopped to pieces only to reappear two movies later as a zombie resurrected by lightning, etc.

To be honest the second should have been the first movie, they could've had a bit at the beggining saying what happened and so on

Mrs. Vorhees is probably going to be even MORE ridiculous in the remake. Probably won't be as creepy though.

yeah, but so are the other 20

the first friday movie was bassically a story setting for the rest of the movies.

If they remake it i think they will do what Rob Zombie did with Halloween remake and give us a back story to the Vorhee's past. Maybe this time show us Jason when he was young at the camp he drowned at.

They definatly dont need to remake the first movie, there really is no point and it was boring anyways.

Ok question.? Did Jason actually drown when he was a kid? Its implied in two that he did not drown and grew up in the forest.

Friday the 13th is a cult classic. I've seen all of them and liked the first 4. If this remake is any good then it must have a good story and good gore.

i've never been a fan of the Friday the 13th movies. Overrated in my opinion. Remake wouldn't be so bad.

I would see the remake

Good question, I did have an opponion on this until Freddy Vs Jason, Fredy tries to drown him but the chick saves him when they are back in time....haha crazy storyline. I know it was his dream and all but who knows.

I think he drowned but came back to life in a freakish way.

Discos - classic horror movies, who needs plots?

We were all made to think he couldn't swim but the scary thing is...he could 😖hifty: dun dun DUUUN

Do we take any of the plot devices from Part 9 to heart or not since it was under New Line at the time?
