In part 2 where he burst through the window and then the boyfriend is missing at the end? 😕 Kinda similar I guess
The thing I liked was that in the end every chick got screwed by Jason, I'm getting kinda sick and tired of seeing a movie every single time where it's either the dumbass chick survives or the dumbass chick and some random dude get together. Was nice to see a movie where it's just a dude who survives 🙂
The sequel:
Warner Brothers has announced that the latest instalment in the franchise is to open in cinemas on August 13, 2010, Bloody Disgusting reports. The update will be titled Friday The 13th Part 2, although the forthcoming horror would technically be considered as the 13th film in the series.
Also a bit from a few months ago:
Fuller, who is also overseeing the updated version of A Nightmare On Elm Street, said that the key to the second instalment's success lies in the way hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees dispatches his victims. He said: "If we're vulnerable on [the first film], it's that people thought our kills weren't clever enough, so whatever we need to do to make those kills seem clever in the second film is what we're going to do."
He added that he would "love" for the sequel to utilise 3D - if they can fit the added cost into their budget.
"I suspect it will not be in 3D, although we'd love to make a 3D horror movie. We'd love to do it; they just don't throw that money our way."
It's written by the same guys who did the first remake, oh and looks like it's going to be in 3D afterall:
According to the Box Office Mojo web site, Warner Bros. Pictures is planning on shooting the sequel in 3D. They also confirm the planned release date of August 13, 2010. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who wrote this year's remake, are penning the sequel.

Why are 3D horror movies suddenly being made? 3D has been around for quite a while and now suddenly hollywood is getting a major hard on over making horror movies that are 3D
since I am hollywood I told them too 😛

I think it will be..
Friday the 13th is a 2009 American horror film directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. It is a reboot of the Friday the 13th film series,[4][5] which began in 1980 and whose last film was the 2003 crossover Freddy vs. Jason. Nispel also helmed the 2003 remake of Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), while Shannon and Swift wrote the screenplay for Freddy vs. Jason. It stars Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees, with Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti and Danielle Panabaker portraying the male and female leads. Friday the 13th follows Clay Miller (Padalecki) as he searches for his missing sister, Whitney (Righetti), who was taken by Jason while she was camping in the woods at Crystal Lake.
