This one is easy.
Probe busting Superman was in his right mind and in an almost zen like state using his powers efficiently. Plus he had competition in the sense of Doomsday destroying probes easily. He wasn't about to let DD outdo him.
The Superman who fought WW was neurotic, and not even able to see what he was really fighting.

As I said, I didn't post it because I believed it proved Darkseid was stronger than Superman. I posted it because it's exactly what you asked for.

He's getting stronger and stronger by the year based on the nature of his kryptonian physiology soaking up more and more of the sun's radiation.
