Yes he needed tech for the win. But take a look out how much longer he lasted than Superman did in his encounter. Superman was pulverized in a much shorter fight. Superman needed help and without it he would have died. Without tech Thanos would have lost. To me Thanos fought a tougher opponent and needed no outside help to survive.

The tech WAS outside help.

The fact that Borg physically dominated Supes while Thor with pg had problems with Thanos. Even with the pg (which is rarely impressive outside of the IG) Thor had problems.

In this case, rings>single gem power up.

Thor was going through the combined might of dr strange, silver surfer, drax, etc before he met up with Thanos. Dr strange is no joke. Thor from this storyline with the power gem would dominate Cyborg physically.

Power gem>rings that Cyborg has.

Barely loses. Did you read apokolips now. I mean Darkseid begged for his stinking life. Wasnt close at all. When superman avoided the oe it was all over from there. Physically Darkseid cant hang with Superman imo.
Apokolips now was still a bullshit showing, one out of two solid wins in Supes encounters with Darkseid. Other than that Supes has flown straight into Ds and slapped away about what? Close to ten times?

Except that he couldn't dominate Thanos quickly and easily. Someone that you have to prove is Superman's physical superior.

A bunch of power rings > 1 power gem. Versatility + tech pwns Thor yet again.

So; just because I'm curious, what is the most versatile thing that the Cyborg's done with the rings?

Oh btw Thanos went even with Power Gem Thor, who had defeated the entire infinity Watch + Dr. Strange + SS almost instantaneously.

Giant yellow gloves 🙂

Are you kidding me. What did those rinngs do that made them so much better than a gem that gives you access to infinite power.

So basically you are claiming that Superman could do what PG Thor did?

Exactly. Thor vs Cyborg here would be the utter rape of Cyborg. Cyborg was powerful indeed but Thor was insanely powerful in this story with this amp. Oh yeah and he was insane to boot. Cyborg would get that death that he always wanted.

Are you sure? I mean, Avlon clearly thinks that he's shown enough versatility with them to put them above the power gem.

If all he did was amp up his punches a little bit...

Well, the power gem does that and more, no? How is that more versatile?

No, no, you MUST be mistaken, Sym; Avlon never is.

Yet had problems with a single being with limited power.

What is the most versatile thing Thor did with his gem? What pwned PG Thor? Tech.

That is what I'm getting at.

Random forcefield>Power gem. 😉

What it seemed you were getting at was that a power ring (or ten power rings, doesn't matter) in the hands of someone that does nothing but amp up his punches a slight bit would be a better accessory than the power gem.

Uhm a gun froze him in containment block. Why didnt strange do something like this if it was just so damn easy.

Power gem>ten sinestro rings.

Thanos knocks Superman out in say... 5-6 punches.

Whether that is the case or not (and please, let me note that I am not agreeing nor disagreeing) - that doesn't mean he's stronger.

Thor and most PG wielders don't do much more than that either.

Seriously...Thor was owned by an energon cube.
