my god, this game exceeded all expectations....which were off the charts. God of War is the perfect example of why simplicity pwns. such a simple concept as "bad guys over there, dead they ass" has managed to captivate and turn into one of the best presented games of all time.

The ending kinda gave me an irk feeling because even though Kratos attempted to kill himself by using the BoO, his blood leaves a trail to the edge of a cliff on Olympus after the credits are done and the producers of this game said that there will be no God of War IV, only spin offs or whatever they were talking about with III not ending the franchise.
Having spent literally ten or so uninterrupted hours playing through the game the moment I reached home, I can only say now that I've but one complaint that isn't an irrelevant nitpick (and even then, it gives me incentive to replay constantly): This game has a severe lack of New Game Plus compared to GoWII and Chains of Olympus. It's very clear that there are parts of the game that you reach before you need the weapon to progress, but IIRC, Chains of Olympus wasn't much different with Gauntlet of Zeus which they still let you keep through the second playthroughs. It's especially a shame since all the weapons really are the best since Gauntlet of Zeus; I find that I have trouble actually picking a favorite amongst them, which is essentially a good thing. The fact that they're all chain based like the blades is what makes them so useful, and it give Kratos a motif of sorts to his fighting style.
Cutscenes are canon yes, but that's not what we are discussing is it.
The little extras that are in the Treasures section aren't canon 😐, merely just ideas for future games from the God of War team, and they were cast aside when GoW2 came out.
The video with Cronos' skeleton in the desert proves that 😐, as does the one where Kratos learns from his mother that he is a son of Zeus.
So anyway, I got around to redeeming the Phantom of Chaos skin code I got from GS, but for some reason, it says that it's apprently invalid. Not exactly sure what to do to fix this, but among all the codes I've redeemed, only the Dominus/Exile Arena code is working (which is a relief, because Dominus is my favorite costume of the ones known).
