Will ENGLAND make the EURO 2008?

Basically if Israel beat Russia and England beat Croatia at home then they will go through.

Seeing as Israel cannot qualify they have might have no real incentive to try and win, this could backfire of course if Russia think the same thing and attack in an impatient lunatic fashion, in effect running into the knife and loosing. But with an experienced coach as Guus Hiddink I doubt it.

Wednesday will tell but even if England get lucky, can they beat Croatia at home, on current form I doubt it.

sorry to say it looks hard, and they have to depend on others to help them.

Hopefully not.

Could be just what England need, make them realise a few home truths.

What's the point of them qualifying? They need to go backwards to progress at the moment.

The Golden Generation is being shown as the pyrite it always was.

Whats a Pyrite?

I don´t consider them the "golden generation" really, just the same random quality mix as always.

Look it up.

fools gold, fool!

And I have to agree about England needing to fail to qualify, as much as I rate Gerrard and Terry, they are the ONLY world class players in the England team... regardless of what the media tells you.

And at the other end of the spectrum, regardless of what AC and VVD tell you.

who cares come on England and Israel.

Love to see England out of the tournamount. Arrogant wanks

at present time none of the teams of the British isles is worthy a place in the Euro 2008, I think Scotland is gonna **** up against Italy Saturday. Hope they wont cause they have preformed tactically brilliant in certain games except the last one in which they really stunk, but Italy always seem to be impossible to play whenever their national league is left in a state of disgrace

Terry needs a good partner, though. He's not inherently great.

Gerrard is just the most overrated human in the history of anything.

Rio, maybe.

Richards in time.

Robinson.

He is well shit, though.

As a sportsman he's also shit. Speaks out against divers with one side of the mouth, dives with...the other side...onto Rafa.

Richards is awesome, and so young.

I just read that Israel could be fielding a younger team, and Liverpools midfielder Yossi Benayoun won´t be playing due to Injury.

And an (Russian) Israeli coach would like Russia to qualify according to this article, it aint looking good.

I don't really know what I want to happen. I do want to be able to watch and support England, but also I think it could be beneficial for us not to make it through. People need to stop seeing the England team through rose tinted glasses whenever it suits them, we really have pretty much used up every scape goat so far.

It's McClaren's fault.

He is a shit-ophile, he's a nonse, he's a fence vole, he's a nut administrator, he's a bent ref, he's the crazy world of Arthur Brown, he's a free willy, he's a chimney bottler, he's a bunty man, he's a shrub rocketeer. Eeeeeh.

That's just another form of racism.

England is facing very much the same problem as Spain has done for decades, many of the main players in the aint domestic ones and in the end it hurt the national teams

That's just a bs excuse.

The lower divisions are chock full of English "talent". There's a reason for that.

the lower division talents dont hold international standard, its a reason why these talents aint on the national teams.
England have their best players on the national team, it just that England plays a very different football than the players is used to play on their teams. The teams playes have drifted towards continental football, while England and lower division teams are more kick and run longball. Most of the English teams taking a part in CL playes real good football, England on the other hand seems clueless and you know what to expect facing them, good on home turf, feeble on away ground

If they can't adapt, they're not good enough, it's that simple.
