The official "What's this Movie?" thread!

it was suposed to be like a sad movie
and is what happen is there was this kid he was bad like doing drugs and stuf and he lived with his mom and then al of a suden his real dad comes along wanting to spend time with him. and he spends time with him and stuff and his dad lives in a realy crapy house. they argue alot and stuff. and next door to where he lives theres a girl and he talks to her and stuff because he used to know her from when he was young.
well later in the movie his dad starts building a house.
he helps and then soon his ex-wife (the kids mom) starts coming over and helping along with her two younger children. her curent husband gets mad and all that but she dnt care.
and wel later on the house is almost finished but the father ends up in the hospital and the boy goes there and turns out the whole time, the father had cancer. and he was going to die. and he says for the kid to build the house for him and he does. but i remember there was thing scene where the father says "all i wanted was for you to love me before i died" or something similar.

Ms. Dawnbinkley, I believe your movie is 2001's "Life as a House" with Kevin Kline.

Setting is a small town...I think. The main character is a shy young woman that lives with her father in a big house. The main character goes to a bar with friends to see a local musician play and she becomes obsessed with him (later in the movie they fall in love and marry). She cuts his name into her forehead with a piece of glass. All I remember is that in the end she is left pregnant and single and she drives away in some jalopy. Help me!! lol

I was just watching a public access channel and it was showing random clips of random movies. A horror movie, low budget, came on with a scene at a halloween school dance, and monsters were coming in and starting kill people, a girl used a hose to start killing the monsters and one of the monsters had a crossbow that he shot into the back of the girl's head. Any of this spark any ideas? Really wanna know what this one is, thanks!!

I saw a movie in the early 90s that I would really love to see again as an adult. The movie was most likely a product of the early- mid-eighties.

The movie started out with a car full of people driving at night. A young girl, I believe her older sister and the boyfriend (not positive!) were passengers. They were singing a song together and laughing. The song had something about Cincinnati. The car went off the road (because of snow perhaps?) and into the woods.

The young girl wakes up in a strange world. It looked like some sort of toyland or candyland.

I don't remember a solid plot from the movie, but the villains were these ugly creatures (that now remind me of Jim Henson's creations "Skeksis" from The Dark Crystal). These creatures were in a building that no one would go near and they were always indoors, but they could see what was going on outside via some sort of monitor system.

In the end, I think it was all just a dream that the young girl had imagined due to head injury in the car accident.

If anyone has any idea what film I'm referring to, please respond. Otherwise, I'll just vaguely remember it forever.

*May have been a made-for-television movie, but I really have no idea.

I found out what my movie was...it's called "A Slipping-Down Life."

I recently seen a preview in a newer dvd I was watching and can't remember the name.

It was for a new movie in the last year I would guess.
It was about a guy whos in love with a woman. And then he gets drafted to vietnam. The preview looks kinda of like trippy looking scenes. I can't remember much more than that.

I am looking for the name of a movie I saw in the 1980s it was about a father who gives his on a teddy bear with some kind of chip inside it right before the dad is killed. The mother and son try to hide from the people who are tryin to gt the chip back and I remember something about them putting a tracking device under the car. Sorry thats about all I can remember. Sounds like "Babes in Toyland" with Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves.

hi i am looking for this particular movie, i just cant remember the name of it,i saw it like when i was 10 or so.

Its a horror film.its about a guy who trys and rescue all these people or something like that,he can see numbers on their forehead for whos going to die next, a grim reaper comes to collect their souls.

Hi, i'm a new memeber of this forum, and I was wondering if anybody can help me, i'm looking for a name of an old kung fu movie, i can't remember the actor's names, it goes something like this: in the begining young man walks through the snow, later, he is fighting with some bad guys, unusual no hands technique. later in the movie, some blind man who's got excellent earring, fights against bad guys with a wooden stick (inside the stick is a knife), they kill him.... so, the young man goes to revenge blind man's death.

The funny thing is, I gave up on finding it on imdb after trying every keyword combination on powersearch I could think of (tree, forest, boy, runaway, etc. ). Finally found it on google.

i'm not 100% shure, but I think that the guy on this picture is in the movie i've mentioned. and i remembered one more detail, before he started to fight, he was smelling flowers, then started fighting.
