Another BTTF3 problem
OK then. This BTTF 3 problem has probably been listed in one of the pages of this thread but I have unfortunately not had the time to read every post. It wasn't listed in the first few pages and that is good enough for me!!
There is one major error, plot hole, whatever you want to call it in BTTF3 and that is that the whole problem in the movie is not the power for the capacitor but the fuel for the combustion engine. Doc states that the car engine has always run on Gas. So when when Marty goes back to 1885 and gets the tank busted there is a clear quick fix that not everyone sees or thinks of when they think of the major floor in BTTF3 and that is that at the time Marty goes back to 1885 in the time machine - Doc's busted time machine has only been inside the mine tunnel for a number of months. THERE WOULD BE FUEL IN THE TANK OF THAT CAR AND A USABLE GAS TANK! Even if Doc drained the car before he placed it in the mine, a scientist such as himself would have surely kept the fuel and stored it somewhere safe. All they needed to do was change the tank over and that would be that ----->>>>BACK TO 1985>>>>>>. Sure, the film would have been crap and a lot shorter but at least I wouldn't have that huge "easy fix" option slapping me in the face every time I watch #3.
This is the error I notice way before I start thinking about the whole Clara, Doc and the ravine thing.

This is just a question to anyone- the mall in back to the future where Doc demonstrates time travel to Marty is a real mall in California. But has anyone been to the mall recently and if so, does it look the same?

And something they didn't put much thought into with Part 3. Okay, it makes sense that they had Michael J. Fox play Shamus McFly. But why did Lea Thompson play Maggie McFly? Lea Thompson's primary character, Lorraine Baines, isn't a McFly by blood so it doesn't make sense that one of George McFly's ancestors looks like his wife.
This was an on going joke through-out the trilogy where Marty wakes up to his teenaged mom/ alternate time mom/ and great-great grandma saying You're safe and sound now, back in good old 1955/ Back on the 27th floor/ back in good old 1885
I dont know why but there is gonna be another boxset comming out in october 2006
