the first one it the best, don't really care about the people disappearing in the picture, but I do agree with your part 2 coment, I would like to add that Biff would of had the same problem, when he took the time machine back to 1955 from 2015(or what ever year it was in the future)
and then came back he would of arrived back at a time where he was big and powerful. Going ahead has too many problems, If I leave and go ahead 30 years I would arrive in a future where I never existed for 30 years. there would be missing reports of me and everything.

Exactly, so Biff goes back in time from 2015 to 1955 and gives himself the almanac, when Biff comes back to 2015 he will be in an alternate time line of him being rich. Same thing with Marty going ahead to see himself and his family they wouldn't even exist cause they were missing for 30 years while they travelled ahead in time.

I agree with you to an extent on your comments for the first movie. But here is something I have to say about your thoughts on the sequel. When something travels through time, They goes through to an entire new 'world' so to speak. So they are time traveling to an entirely different time span. Time repeats itself, over and over again. They just so happened to go into a different thread of time Ahead of them. Basically, We are just a repeat of what has already happened before. So they really saw their 'long set' path. A persons Long set path makes it so you are given an option when seeing your future. If one was able to see his or her future, they could change their lives. Because every living thing follows a long set path. A long set path cannot be changed, unless you know what that path consists of. Thus, 'Donnie Darko'. Albert Einstein, and Richard Kelly taught me most of the things I know about Time travel.Time Travel is a extremely hard topic to discuss.
yes but the time continuem knows that doc and marty and jen will come back and live their lives until those 30 years later?
but if jen hit her head and died then they would not have gone back in time and they would not see their future selfs and it would cause a 'paradox'
look through the older pages because i think your question has been answered before

Something that has always bugged me about BTTF2 and BTTF3 is this...In the 3rd installment...Marty is upset about leaving Jennifer on her porch in the alternate 1985, but is reassured by Doc, that when they changed the past, the alternate 1985 changed back to the normal 1985 the departed from to begin with....
So therefore, when Biff steals the time machine is 2015 and heads off to the past to give himself the Sports Almanac, shouldn't have their surroundings in 2015 changed immediately?
In fact things did not change, so why was it nessesary to go back to 1955 and stop Biff from giving himself the book, when in 2015, things were status quo ???
I can answer this one I think!.....
When old biff from 2015 stole the book and time machine and went back to 1955, he would have ben there a fair while...atleast a few hours to locate himself and choose a time to handover his book. Therefore in 2015 where doc and marty are , they are also there only a few hours so the alternate time wouldnt have changed at that point. Remember also, Biff would have have to have made all that money from the sports bets to become powerful, so that alone would have taken a longish time.
Hope this makes sense....!
I can see the surroundings for marty and doc not changing in 2015 but I could definatley see when biff came back to 2015 he would come back to an alternate time with him rich and in complete power.
Ruddy paradoxes, If i go back in time and kill my grandfather before I was born, then I would never have been born, so how could I go back in time to kill him?
It's just easier if all you can do is go back in time and come back to when you left no going forward.

My 3 Things about BTTF
BTTF1. Marty should be dead after re-entering 1985 after crashing into the theatre, taking his last breath somewhere in the first row seats.
Time Travel buffs, check that
BTTF2. Who was foolish enough to show Biff how to operate a flying time-machine? Why does Biff gut himself after breaking his cane in the time-machine?
BTTF3. Now that there are 2 time-machines in 1885. Use one to replace the damned fuel tank (arrow??) or use the other to replace the fried time circuits.. This is better than eli whitneys interchangeable parts patent, because they are in fact the same parts!!!!!
Time Travel buffs, check that..
I read the first page of these things and really didn't see anything on my complaints.. if someone picked up on these on page 2 ..or 3 or whatever... sorry.

You saw how easy the controls were in BTTF 1. Basically type in the date and take off. I'm sure Biff could figure it out. And hovering is the new technology in 2015. Driver's ed is teaching 16 year olds how to operate hovering cars. I'm sure every adult knows how to operate a flying car.
In BTTF 3, they had the time machine that Marty went back in time with. The other one is buried in the mine for Marty to find in 1955. If they dig it up, Marty won't find it and won't go back in time to begin with.
Thanks for reviewing and responding with your opinion.. ..
1. I was merely stating that hitting a theatre at 88mph would kill you.
Doc says in BTTF2 that landing the delorean on Biffs car would destroy the delorean.. but slamming the delorean into a theatre at 88mph.. should do no damage.. as you saw in the movie. However, you stated that this has nothing to do with time travel.. you are correct.
2.You mentioned that the controls were very easy. I don't think old men can simply get into a classic car and fly off in it. I don't buy it. Another thing I don't buy is how Biff goes back to to 1955, the same day Marty leaves.. whatever. If this were at all possible, I would have given the sports book to myself on my damn 18th birthday.. and then wipeout or change the date on the controls to fool marty and doc and let them race across time looking for me.
And to all the people saying biff died from changing his own future.. i still say he broke the cane in the timemachine and then gutted himself in the process.
3. There are two time machines in 1885.. If anyone realizes that.. the third movie would have been a bust.. what happens when you have two identical things, but one is broken?
I felt that the "Back to the Future" movie series had too many random threads that dealt with topics such as fan favoritism, mistakes, and etcetera.
Consider this merge my attempt to create less forum confusion on threads concerning certain topics, and, hopefully, we will all be able to discuss this classic movie series, mistakes and all, in a non-confusing manner.
Instead of making new BTTF threads, please use this official thread from now on. Thanks, guys. 😉

Besides, we never know if Biff goes anywhere else after 1955. They find out old Biff went back to that date 'cause '85 Biff told Marty.
3. Read what I said. There are two time machines in 1885, correct. One is buried in a mine shaft for Marty to find in 1955. If they dig it up, Marty won't find it in 1955. Then Marty won't be able to go back to 1885 and there will be only one time machine there. It's one of those paradoxes Doc was talking about.
I'll give you credit, noone that I've known as attempted to answer these questions of mine for over 20 years..
2. Fine... If marty can go back in time.. change the future by altering the past.. then go back to the future.. an alternate future... why does biff go back in time.. change the future by altering the past.. then go back to the same future??
If you watch Doc's chalkboard theory.. he screws himself.. cause he just went against the reason why marty changed the future. Marty can goto the original time altering date of November 12th, 1955 and change history.. but Biff goes to the same time.. changes history.. but nothing changes..
but..anyway.. it's impossible to alter your own future.
3. You got me.. If Doc goes back in time and marty doesn't.. then nothing should change right? Doc will go to 1885, thus creating an alternate 1885 just like Biff did by going back in time.. well.. then how can there be a buried Delorean if Doc created an alternate future '1955' and the newest Marty should now be stuck in the original 1955 after all...
Check this, I'll break it down...
2015 -Biff steals the time machine, goes to 1955, comes back to an unaltered 2015?? NO CHANGES - Marty and Doc are still chillin'....
1955 -Doc gets hit by lightning, goes to 1885, alters 1955?? Now there is a buried Delorean they can dig up? That is script cheating!!!
Is Biff not man enough to alter time? but like I said.. you cannot change history and go forward in time to an unaltered future..
Don't even get me started why time travel is impossible.. But I like the trilogy, so I am a fan of the acting, not the butchering of time travel theories
Looking forward to your response

Biff is thinking, "I gotta make this quick and get rich before anyone finds out."Besides, we never know if Biff goes anywhere else after 1955. They find out old Biff went back to that date 'cause '85 Biff told Marty.

I agree 100%
I would love to hear the arguments of some of these people to explain why Einstein (the dog) disappears for one minute from existence in BTTF1 but marty can disappear for 30 years and save his kids LOL!!!!

I think you can go back and see yourself, but going forward, just not possible to see yourself, since you left the time continum and therefore you do not exist any longer until you arrive in the future.

how do you know 2015 A, isn't altered, the streets may not have changed but possibly the local government is corrupt and people are rebelling like in the 1985 A. also the street where Biff travels back to was already a mess, i ahve not watched it for a while but does'nt the cop say something like '(w\e the streetname was),a place for hilbilles, bums and (something else, its been a very long time sinced i seen the moives)
another thing is Biff didn't gut himself, on the DVD special features, there something that says Lorraine shot Biff in the mid 90's thus he does not live to 2015.
the thing you said about Biff going back to the same future: Marty would not go back to 2015, why would he? he wants to be rich in 1985 and for the rest of his life. Biff went back to the same future because, that was the time he lived in. and he gave the almanac, to his younger self,he could not stay in the same time as his younger self.
1955 -Doc gets hit by lightning, goes to 1885, alters 1955?? Now there is a buried Delorean they can dig up? That is script cheating!!!. but doc buries the delorean in 1885, and sends a letter for marty, remember?

im not too sure about this, but the time continuem is already there. - ill try to explain, im writing this post, but this post is being written again and again and again, but in different time continuems.
so the time line is set, for now as marty, doc and jenifer going back to 1985 and tehn live their lives.
but if something changed in the future, for example when jenifer faints at seeing her old self, she faints, if doc did not catch her, she may have died thus causing a paradox and blah blah universe ending etc.
but everthing worked out well in the future, so they go back.
then their in 1985A and on with film..
