The problem here is that some people are wanking Marvel heroes to death. The only peeps who should be banned are fanboys that completly ignore and deny feats. How anyone can think that thor at his base power could defeat Supes is insane. RKT is incredibly overrated dudes.
Okay I'll be man enough to admit I made a mistake when I gave supes the win over Odin. I figured that since SUpes could stand toe to toe with DS who is Odins peer that he would stand a chance agaisnt Odin. It was ABC logic and I admit it was the wrong thing to do. On th other hand, I stick by moy claim that supes could easily 8/10 any thor besides RKT whom IMO is overated.

Originally posted by The Great GalenBut you havent read anything about RKT.
I can accept that RKT could possibly defeat Supes, even though PC supes has shown skyfather level feats that equal some major top tiers I can still accept that RKT can get the win, although personally I dont think RKT is above Odin IMO.

Irons Mans blasts would affect Superman as well. Supes would kick his ass but would be affected by his blasts.
There are a couple of things to consider here.
For one it is a cross-over, so let us start from there.
a) You have a Superman that just finished fighting with Thor get knocked down (not out ...down) by a blast from Iron Man
b) In a cross-over, also DC and Marvel, Superman gets shot at with a laser that Reed Richards states can cut through adamantium. And nothing! Superman simply shrugs it off.
Thus, which of the two is more legit?
i) Since they are both from cross overs it should be none, but let us use both of them for the sake of it.
ii) In the first one, Superman just got finished with Thor and is clearly spent (even talks about that fight). In the second, Superman is all A-Ok, no fight with magic-backed deities etc etc etc, and easily takes the blast. Thus it can be said (logically speaking) that the fight with Thor had something to do with him going down.
iii) Then you have to look at what is cannon ....Superman has taken IMMENSE energy blasts, including several that range from 'merely' several kilotons to what is tantamount to super-novae in space. Based on that, one has to seriously wonder what damage IM would have on Superman.
Caveat: Stark could come up with a wave length that affects Superman (either using Red Light energy which will block his ability to fully access his powers, or using some kryptonite based wave-length that replicates the ability of kryptonite to disrupt his powers and affect his health, or even some more obtuse rays).
Thus, with his science Stark could come up something.
However, his normal blasts ....no way Jose.
IronMan is not even deserving to sit at Superman's foot stool.

And hasnt dc made this crossover canon while marvel hasnt. So that makes it canon to Superman correct?

And i was not talking about Superman losing either (even you know that would be a joke), but solely about Iron Man's 'normal' blasts affecting Superman (with normal meaning his repulsor blasts, that have not been enhanced with, say, Kryptonite whatnot or red sun thisthat 'ala' how Luthor's warsuit works).
Also gave examples how in the cross over Superman gets zapped by lasers that can go through adamantium like butter, and nothing!
Also talked about the fight with Thor, just before he got knocked down by the blasts, and then jumped on by the crew.
I also mentioned about some of the blasts that Superman has taken in the past, scans of which are easily available.
Never mentioned anything about Superman losing to Iron Man ....unless there is prep time involved and special measures by Stark, that would simply not happen.
BTW: Some poster said that IM in that scene was enhanced by a motherbox, which (if true) would be an additional consideration on top of the fact that Superman just got wrapped up fighting a god of Thunder who has eldritch energy coursing through him.
Originally posted by spetznazId like to see the proof that Iron Man was enhanced. Bottom line is it would affect Superman but not very much.
