Really good thread. This inspires me to want to make one for the Japanese god of Evil. To fight something like that an not die is truly a feat.

they a lot of accesion that red hulk is ares it could be true since red is ares signature colour(logic and statistics 20-40%).

I guess he just summed up the estimated number of casualties in all wars fought in documented human history. And since war is Ares' domain, WM simply made him personally responsible.
The precision of the number is just a kind of writer's trick to add a little drama and awe, imo.

Why is it that the god who embodies war isn't more powerful? In mythology Ares was a peer to the big 3 (Zeus, Hades, Hera).

no he wasn't, and the big three were: zues, his brothers poseidon, and hades. if you include all of zues's siblings:demeter, poseidon, hades, hera, and hestia, the big three is really the big six.

ares was a rival of athena, not zues. (hence ares being the patron god of sparta and athena athens)

I'm actually all for this. It's about time Ares was shown why he is a god.
