Iron Man

True as in it's your opinion? Then yes.

Iron Man was an amazing superhero movie to me.

-AC

If you pull a Clinton and 'mis-speak' I suppose so. There haven't been any amazing superhero movies though, unless they are simply amazing for a superhero film, relatively speaking. Just some good ones.

You're saying that as if it's fact, which is really hilarious, considering it's the polar opposite of.

Iron Man was amazing. Prove me factually incorrect or stop promoting it as fact. It's opinion, both sides.

-AC

'Course it is my opinion you lemon. If it troubles you to comprehend opinion passing off as fact, then you might aswell go to a Michael Barrymore Pool Party while you can. No need for you to launch into a charade of self-righteous nonsense by the way. Just laying it out for you.

Continually attempting to counter someone who says a movie is amazing with, "It's just good, there were no amazing superhero movies." doesn't strike one as "It's my opinion.".

It strikes as you suggesting someone is wrong based on subjective preference.

Obviously we've cleared it up now.

-AC

I fail to see the problem. By default, any discussion such as this is subjective, ergo explicitly mentioning that any given film is ""X" in my opinion" seems pointless when there's a handful of rhetoric to be used in its stead - at least when its noted that its subjective.

I feel it's better to remind people lest they get carried away.

thats why its best for you to put him on Ignore. He does that with everybody.

Still talking about me though, aren't you?

You should get over me by about 2014 if your lengthy grudges are anything to go by.

Spider-Man sucked, dude. I agree with you on the others.

Heck yeah it did.and so did Batman 89 Hiker. 😉 of course it sucked. The only kind of person that could enjoy those shitty films is the kind of people who just want to look at a movie with a bunch of amazing special effects because once you take the blinders off,you understand that their a bunch of kiddie flicks written mostly for kids.At least that other crapfest batman 89 wasnt a kiddie flick, so because of the hot looking Kim Basinger,I can at least sit through THAT one even though its a boring snoozefest.

One of the single best comicbook movies ever, Batman '89.

Jack Nicholson probably won't ever be surpassed.

-AC

And... Batman Begins wasn't?

You see, people like Mr. Parker trick themselves into thinking they have a very weighty, very credible opinion; so if they dislike something, they treat it as fact that it sucks, or you're stupid to disagree.

Conversely, they feel their stamp of approval is as good as an Oscar. The kind of people who preach about how awesome they could do it, but it would come out like Gigli.

I liked Batman Begins a lot, but that's the case for most of them

of course not.EVERYBODY knows that. 🙄including A.C of all people. 😄 which is a miracle.

Burtons batman rocked the casbah. Even if you dont like the cast or the style of the movie, it is still a well made and accessible to adults as well as children.

Yet you must be one of those people I mean you have the Star Wars & Harry Potter films as some of you favorite movies which all they are are just special effects laden kiddie flicks sooo hypocrite much.

What's wrong with either franchise? I mean, a real criticism, not just some observational nonsense about special effects.

I'm not a fan of Harry Potter, but there is nothing wrong with Harry Potter or the Star Wars franchise

I don't think it sucked at all.

Additionally, consider that it's one of two movies that really kick-started the rebirth of superhero movies which has given us SOME amazing movies. It had far less to go by than any other movies that have had the template laid for them.

X-Men was out first, but my niece's drama class could have done better.

-AC

Then your niece's drama class must be damn good because the X-Men movies were way better than Spider-Man. And yes, of course it's just my opinion.

The thing I liked a lot about Iron Man is that they showed a trial and error period where Tony Stark was experimenting with his suit he built. Spider-Man did this as well with his own powers, but I wanted to see Peter Parker experimenting with different web fluids for his home made web shooters and stuff like that, not actually able to shoot real webs from his wrists. That and the hilariously stupid mask the Green Goblin wore, along with the entire cast being miscast, are the main reasons I did not . . . oh and the CG sucked too . . . are the main reasons I did not like Spider-Man.

Spider-Man 2, okay, I admit it was pretty solid, but I still am able to watch the X-Men movies over and over, the third not so much, but yeah.

The "Harry Potter" movies in general sucked(with the exception of 1, and 4 was ok), and as for the "Star Wars" movies, it really depends on which movie.
