News just in: I heard on the radio this moring that Thor will be released in 2010 and Captain America is due out in 2011. There will also be an Avengers movie for sure, the date was not mentioned. Plus there will be more HULK films.

I heard this on the Adam Corolla show this morning during news with Teresa Strasser.

awesome.great to hear that they are going to redeem themselves with Captain America. 💃

okay...

Didnt you even bother to look where I quoted him? He brought up the news on Captain America and if you ever saw that movie- which obviously you didnt, you would understand why I am excited about that news he posted.after all,IronMan has pretty much been discussed to death here which is why peope are talking about other marvel comicbook films now.

That's unless they do some minuscule divergence and you freak out over it.

okay okay then. 😄

You don't know for sure that they are going to "redeem" themselves

its not even made yet

errr no,if THAT was the case,I would hate Ironman for being in afghanistan instead of vietnam.get the facts straight. 🙄 a great storyline is the most important thing to me in a movie which is why I loved Ironman so much.as long as the minuscule change is neccessary like it was with Ironman not being in vietnam,Im all for it.again, get the facts straight.

well true.I'll admit its just a gut feeling of mine right now Im going on.After watching Ironman and seeing how The Incredible Hulk looks to redeem the first film,it just seems they are on a role now and have learned from their past mistakes.I would be shocked if I didnt like The Incredible Hulk from the previews I have seen of it.Its true that you cant always tell if a movie will be great from liking the previews,as was the case with Batman 89, but my hunch that Batman Begins and Ironman were going to be great from what I saw from the previews when they came out, turned out to be correct. If The Incredible Hulk delivers like I am thinking it will, then I'll really be optimistic that Marvel is redeeming themselves and finally headed in the right direction with marvel movies now.

As long as the directors look at the past mistakes many have done

they should be fine

yeah thats so true. as an example,Nolan made sure not to make the same mistakes that Burton and Schmacher made with the Batman films and a good Batman movie FINALLY got made.

Wait.

Redeem themselves in the eyes of who? Why do people think Marvel and D.C. are all sitting at home, shitting themselves because people might not like their movie?

Batman '89 was awesome, IS awesome. So was Spider-Man, so was Iron Man, so was Batman Begins.

Because most people are pretentious.

Kind of rhetorical, but yes.

And idiots.

I think Marvel and D.C. need to take every realistic option to make sure the movies are not bastardisations, but it puzzles me when people act like if it's not good, they're gonna go there and fight them.

"Better do this good, or else.", or else what? As if Marvel and D.C. would lament the loss of some of the people on this board.

Spider-Man sucked, dude. I agree with you on the others.

I didn't have a problem with any of the Spiderman movies.

I enjoyed the first 2 immensely but had multiple problems with the third, for what it's worth.

Tell that to Mr. Parker... Wait

Trust me, you'll regret it.

Press, 'Ignore".

I don't think it sucked at all.

Additionally, consider that it's one of two movies that really kick-started the rebirth of superhero movies which has given us SOME amazing movies. It had far less to go by than any other movies that have had the template laid for them.

X-Men was out first, but my niece's drama class could have done better.

I'm with tired Tired Hiker on the last one. Spider-man 1 & 2 just weren't that good or enjoyable. Nor has has their been any 'amazing' films to come out of the genre in recent years, whether it was Spider-man that gave them the chance or not. Each film has its problems and is far from amazing. I'm not trying to be overly pedantic, but it's true.
