One of the many things that sucks about OMD is that we aren't even given a detailed explanation of the new status quo, everyone is asking about Spidey's standing in the wider MU and Marvel is like "well wait and see" as though it's some kind of treat as opposed to damage control 😠
Yeah, but we felt the same way at the end of Illuminati.
"But with the first issue of 'Brand New Day' (this week's comic book in which Spider-Man returns to single life), our letters very quickly changed to people saying, 'This is fantastic. This is the Spider-Man we remembered. We didn't know what we'd been missing.' "

You mean the 5 issue miniseries? Cos I loved that series, I thought it was a really well told story with fantastic art that left us with more questions than answers, that I look forward to being answered even though I might not like the answers.
OMD = Crap story, good art, crap ramifications + lots of unanswered questions that should never have been made into questions in the first place 🙁

I think he means the Blackbolt incident. They should make the Iluminati into an ongoing.

Ah right I see. Still though Illuminati was a treat. OMD was chore and a heart breaker to read (not because MJ was going but because the last 20 odd years of Spidey was destroyed)
I just remembered. In Astonishing X-Men Emma said:

"J. Jonah Jameson'll be tongue-kissing Spider-Man before the X-Men catch a little public favor"

Illuminati was pretty good. Save for the Blackbolt incident and the royal f*ckup they had with Beyonder.
