Seriously I hope that the shareholders of Marvel have Quesada fired and blacklisted for whats happened just now. This is the single worst decision I've ever seen in comics...EVER...and that is the literal truth. I sure hope Quesada likes being penniless cause basically 95% ofanyone that stuck with Spiderman right now is probably not going to anymore.

I just went to the comic shop after seein this thread to find out if it was all true and OMG it all is.
Nothing I've every read about Spidey has ever pissed me off so much in all of his existence!
Why in the name of god did they screw his character/history/development/fans like this?
Say it ain't so multiplied by infinity may not even be enough to explain how I feel. This better snap back because of what MJ said about them always finding each other no matter what and things almost instantly return to normal or I swear I'm completely threw with anything that happens to Peter post OMD!
I think Quesada is actually trying to completely ruin Amazing Spidey and perhaps the entire character as hard as he possibly can. I just can't even begin to fathom anyone screwing Spidey this hard by accident!
Perhaps Marvel is entirely trying to completely screw the entire Marvel 616 universe so bad that we all convert to their new popular Ultimate world? I mean I like ultimate after I just started to consider it as completely separate for the main marvel U but why just let all the wonderfulness of 616's character development and history get flushed down the toilet because of it?
Could this be this is Marvel's way of retconning everything like DC does with the occasional Crisis?
Create a new universe with different history of the same characters and make is so all the fans turn on the old ones because they're tired of coming up with new ideas to continue a linear growth for them?
Sorry for the rant but like I said I've never been so upset by anything I've read.
If this isn't fixed I may seriously be done with my long time favorite character, company and franchise!
I may actually have to consider turning to marvel for nothing but graphic novels and DC otherwise.

It would be nice if you guys just stopped buying the comics. Complaining doesn't really do shit since Joe Q is still going to make money.
I stopped actually buying Marvel comics after Thunderbolts #100 and though I still read the occasional scan here and there, at least that idiot isn't making any money from me.

I read it at the store bought someother stuff I'd been wanting like graphic novels and Heroes collection and said thats it, I ain't buying another thing marvel till they fix this!

Plus, their not going to fix it for atleast a year... so don't buy them, and you might as well not read them as well. The only thing you would be doing is not giving them money, but it still shows that you have intrest in their comics. I mean I was interested in other parts of the marvel u, ex Avengers, Ultimate universe, X-Men, Ironman, Illuminati, but if they're going to just let something like this happen to, IMO, thier heart and soul character and my personal reason for even reading comics then I'm out!
I'll read about GL Kyle, Nightwing, Batman and Spawn or nothing at all other than my old pre OMD collection I have sitting right behind me in the closet of my home office!
Everyone else can do what I want but I've accepted and been open to allot of crap over the years and this is just far to much!
Fix it or I'm out.

I grew up with the geeky skinny High school/College Peter Parker So this is a treat. Might be short lived...but it brings back memories for old readers.

You guys are experiencing the same emotions I went through the late 80s. I was heart broken when Gwenn died and MJ took her place.
I'm glad Peter evolved but my fondest memories of Spiderman were during his early years.
