STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Cold War

There are very few starships in port, but they are all of Arnian design. No surprise there.

When you approach the starport itself, from off the landing site, you are halted by a military officer. He dons the uniform of an Arnian of the Royal Army, all in dark blue: a neat cap, a jacket with silver buttons, silver pauldrons, knee-length pants, and a pistol at his hip. He holds an Arnian rifle across his chest.

"Halt!" he barks.

Dak obediently comes to a stop, but motions toward the other two. "Can we halt inside? I'd love to chat, but I have off-worlders with me and they won't last long without protection."

"Perhaps your company is why I stopped you," the officer says. "What are they doing here?"

"I'm using them, good sir. I'm shipping ore, and they're decent enough for menial work."

The Arnian glares. Despite Queen-Mother Zethalda's openness to foreign affairs, sentement against off-worlders is still strong.

"Alright," he says. "But I have to warn you. Not much ore being produced by the mines at the moment, not with current events as they are..."

"Thanks for the warning. And keep up the good work defending our planet, eh?"

Dak will continue into the starport with Wraith and Ker'Raos.

"What are current events, chap?" Wraith asks. "Anything bad? We noticed a bit of trouble brewing the streets..."

He's not going to rifle-bash me if I talk to him, is he?

On a side note, that would be pretty funny.

Actually, I agree with that...

The officer seems peeved at your speaking to him, but no rifle-bash.

"I suppose an off-worlder wouldn't know of our affairs," the Arnian officer snides. "The Revolutionaries staged a battle here against our Royal Army. Foolish, really. Nothing but damage and casualties to be gained. It'll be over soon, though. The Army drove the rebels into the mines..."

Dak makes a quick mental note of that.

"That does cut the tail off my business. Any plans to get them back out of there?"

"Hah! Fat chance. The miners are the ones rebelling, not a chance of getting back to work once they've been slaughtered in the ice mines."

"Just great. Well, thank you for your time, I'll leave you to it."

Dak leads the others into the starport.

Wraith glares at the officer over his shoulder as they walk away.

"So, what now?" Wraith asks. "I take it you have something in mind, with that kind of news."

"Go have a nice chat with the rebels, of course," Dak replies quietly. "I may have to start small, but from there I can gain control, and then put these rebels to use doing something worthwhile."

Starports are not highly active on Arnia, for obvious reasons.

But the starport of Meja'Tsid is currently being used as a hospital for the wounded. Soldiers of the Royal Army are sprawled on the floor as their injuries are tended to. Most have suffered from blaster wounds, though others seem to have been bludgeoned with pick-axes.

Nobody hinders you as you enter the starport. Hell, nobody pays you any mind, minus the occasional glare at Wraith and Ker'Raos.

"I don't think they like us," Ker'Raos says, clutching the blanket. "I don't think this planet likes us. It's no warmer in here than out there!"

"Let's get those suits, then," Wraith says, looking for some sort of informational booth or any obvious area where we could obtain these hazard suits.

The information center, located in the middle of the floor, is able to tell you where to go to obtain the hazard suits. You tromp around the starport for a bit trying to find this place, but once you do, the suits are yours for a hefty fee.

...oh. You have credits from your most recent bounty, but these suits will simply drain your wallets.

Hmm.

Wraith, I don't know how you are with the Force, can you do a Mind Trick?

Could I talk the price down with Intimidation or Savoir-Faire? Ooh, or maybe Fix-It could tell me they're not worth anywhere near that price?

Sorry, Wraith's more of the 'Hand it over or I'll make you' type. Usually gets the job done, but probably not here...
