STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Cold War

"What the hell?!" Wraith exclaims in surprise, swinging his lightsaber around in the direction of the woman. "Who are you?"

The woman is actually an Arnian woman, wearing a simple white tunic beneath her black robe. Something bothers you about that lightsaber.

"I am Princess Ditari of the Royal Family," she growls, "and by Tsa'Dis, I WILL stop you, villain!"

She raises her lightsaber into a defensive position, as you are in better position to follow up on your attack due to the delay of her introduction.

To the duel thread!

Wraith returns victorious. Princess Ditari of the Royal Family lies dead by his hand and the hand of his student. She slides off of your lightsaber and collapses as a corpse- your lightsaber pierced her heart and burned it.

"Victory is ours," Ker'Raos says. "If not on Zeiton, then here."

Her lightsaber has fallen a short distance away, clinking along the cold floor of the train's control center.

-

Dak- you are still being questioned by your minions.

Your wise-cracking cousin Pade is trying to advise that you rest further while bacta treatments are done on your burns to refresh you for the final push.

The massive Reynal does not want to perform a flank as you have ordered in the final fight for Meja'Tsid.

Standing over the body of the Princess, Wraith follows the path her lightsaber takes when it falls. He uses the Force to call it to him and examines it, to see what troubled him earlier.

After that, he will clip it to his belt and produce another lightsaber from it.

"Ker'Raos, do you remember Zahn'Tin?" Wraith asks. "My Lieutenant on Zeiton?"

The lightsaber looks extremely familiar, which makes no sense because you have never seen it before your duel with Ditari.

"Of course," Ker'Raos says. "One of the traitors who attacked you at the Elder's archives. What of him?"

Wraith hands Ker'Raos the lightsaber that Wraith produces, the ancient Jedi lightsaber passing from one owner to its next as it was done on Zeiton.

"This was his weapon," Wraith says. "I took it after I killed him. I want you to have it, for you are more worthy of it than he. Your training is far from complete but consider this the next step."

Wraith is going to examine the controls to the train. He wants to figure out just how many soldiers are still on the train and whether or not he can get it under control.

Ker'Raos kneels before you as he accepts the lightsaber, then activates it alongside his original weapon. He gives both experimental twirls as you step up to examine the controls to the train.

Unfortunately, your duel completely totalled them. Very few things are left operational.

Dak waves Pade away. "Hmm... I suppose you show wisdom, Reynal. We have the might for a frontal assault. See to it that the soldiers are prepared. Pade, your strategy is commendable, but I feel it is not needed."

Anything else of import before he rests further to heal?

"Shit," Wraith comments when he realizes that the controls are completely wrecked. "We won't be able to take over the train... but we can still blow it up. Question is, before the Meja'Tsid station or in it?"

Is there no way that Wraith can jury-rig all the controls to a datapad?

The controls for the train are too complex to simply port onto a datapad.

Ker'Raos says the decision is yours. He puts his lightsabers away and breaks open an emergency first aid box on the wall for your use. You can heal 10 damage for brief rest and double your Medicine score.

-

Unless there is anything Dak wishes to attend to, then no!

Between rest and using a medkit to double your Medicine rating, Dak is fully healed and ready to go around the time that Wraith kills the Princess.

You sense her death, Dak.

Nothing else one can think of!

Dak winces suddenly, holding a hand to his chest briefly as he feels the ache of being torn from life. "What..."

With all that patching up, Wraith should be good to go and fully healed too. Same with Ker.

Can Wraith radio Dak?

Yes, you can. Signal is weak, though; you are racing up on Meja'Tsid but still far away.

Wraith is going to try messaging Dak.

"Hey General," Wraith says. "Got news for you. Ker and I just put one of the Royal Family to death and are somewhat in control of the train. I wanted to consult you before deciding what to do with it."

"Ah, good... one less obstacle... What are your options for the train?"

"Controls are fried thanks to the deceased Princess. I can blow it up now or blow it up when I get into Meja. Your call."

"If we drive the remaining forces into the station, detonating the train there would be a powerful tool, both for their destruction and our own reputation..." He looks at Reynal. "Can we force our prey to retreat there?"

"That's what I was thinking," Wraith says.

Reynal informs you that reports are coming that the train station is exactly where the soldiers have fallen back to. It cuts a line straight through Meja'Tsid. They are using the station as their frontline.

If you want to lure them into the explosion of the train, the trick will be to keep the Royal soldiers in the train station without it looking suspicious and without getting yourself caught in ensuing explosion.

Safe to say it will be a fairly large explosion; the explosives that Ker'Raos has are little more than a big pack of thermal detonators meant to take out a heavily-armored hovertrain no matter what. Not to mention the train's fuel core...

If the soldiers are already in the station, can we wait to begin the attack until the train arrives?

Or maybe some message can be sent from the train... I'm sure the soldiers will flock to their expected resupply.
