No one has beaten Prime through out sheer strenght.Also each guardian has the power of about 100 green lanterns.
Prime hasnt beaten anyone above top tier easily has he? Prime is no joke and I think it woul dbe a great fight but it would be in Thanos favor especially due to the fact that he thinks better under pressure and has more experience than a 19 year old kid.
SBP has 0 chances of taking out Thanos. Thanos is far far wiser, more durable, more resistant to damage and as a cosmic eternal just plain overall more durable and powerful by default.
not to say SBP count make this last and deal some serious damage physically....Thanos has just taken worse that SBP un-amped can dream of.
SBP doesn't even have the mental stability to cope with someone on Thano's level.
Thanos is not going down to SBP in any way shape or form.
The day that SBP can outright kill on the likes of say.... Odin...we'll discuss again.

0 Chances? Even Quanchi doesn't go that far. No one's denying Thanos is wiser and smarter. However this is plainly a slugfest. Thanos is more resistant to damage? SBP has taken blasts from Guardians and even survived a Guardian going Kamikaze. How and why do you think that because of the fact that Thanos was an eternal it means he is just plain overall more durable and powerful by default?

Why does that even matter? Thanos cannot dream of killing Odin under his own power, and he did get pretty f'ed up while he fought Odin.

Well, the things that took place in Countdown..and will take place in Final Crisis...well, those are events that Thanos could never accomplish without some type of artifact. He couldn't do the things Prime or Monarch did without some kind of powerup.

Well, I don't know. But, it is obvious..that if there is a Crisis involved...then it will more than likely be a major major threat...something beyond Thanos in power.
