You are right to an extent. We all know that Thanos has super strength. But how much? Is it on the level of a Superman or on the level of a Namor or Colossus? And lifting things isn't the only source of proof. One can wrestle (be locked with) someone of great strength in which they prove superior or not much worst than. I can prove that someone with only 1000 tons of strength with great agility and fighting skill can do everything that Thanos has physically and offensively done.It is my fair estimate that Thanos is around 1000 tons of strength and Orion is in the astronomical range.
just so we all get the 100 ton scale thing straight, it's based on a bell curve. 90+% of marvel characters (and there is a ton of them) lift lesser then 100 imperial tons under earth gravity in a clean and jerk dead lift.
however, thor for example has pulled the avenger's island closer to the mainland of NYC so that the avengers could respond faster to city wide threats. his strength is far in excess of the 100 ton cut off point, but since most characters stop at that point, it is a good measure for the majority.
objects with the mass of a bridge can't be lifted on earth without some kind of bracing force keeping it from crumbling to scrap, so most objects beyond 100 tons can't be used to test the might of thor.
thanos has bested thor and the thing in personal combat before he was "killed" and resurrected by death whom greatly enhanced his physical and cosmic power's.

First of all not to make light of Thanos but what is his most impressive scrap? Because from what I've seen a lot of his writers haven't drawn up convincing fights. Take his fight with WM Thor for instance, he gets hit a few times, bleeds and the omniscient narrator suddenly fills in: "[he took everything and is still smiling, scary]".
Basically not giving any credit to Thor's courage and willingness to fight. The writers basically cut the fight short before Thor had really tested Thanos' durability, before Thor had really let loose.
Regular Thor in character may have marveled at Thanos' toughness and stopped his assault and gotten smashed thereafter, WM Thor on the other hand was supposed to be relentless, he just suddenly stopped smashing on Thanos when he had his chance, Orion wouldn't stop in the same situation.
Orion is the "dog of war", if his emotions aren't restrained by the MB that aggression he inherited from Darkseid takes over, he'd never relent. He'd be a hell of a fight for Thanos considering he's never been in a fight with someone like Orion who when unrestrained is one of the most relentless fighters in comics.

Spiderman has bested Rhino. So is Spiderman around class 75?
CA has bested Hulk so is he class 100. You get my drift?
