I almost forgot that nobody can understand me...
Eerin slaps his own forehead, then speaks into the mic again.
"[Hold on...]" he says, though he realizes the futility of it. He clicks over to the ship's intercom. "[Captain? Can you come up here please? We'll work on the compartment later! I think help has arrived.]"
"No problem. I couldn't let a crew rot out here in the Dune Sea, especially with this heat. Consider it my good deed for the year..."
Not long after, you hear the whirring of a landspeeder's repulsorlift engines and the white vehicle comes to a halt just beside the Last Laugh. The landspeeder is reminscent of the standard XP34 model, but this must be an upgrade.
The glass canopy slides and a grizzled man hops out, carrying a hunting rifle. He strides towards your crashed vessel.
"Hello?" he calls out.
Kyle nudges Eerin "Grab you gear, we can't keep our saviour waiting." Kyle goes to dig out all his credits and a fresh charge for his blaster. He's still extrmely bothered by the whole fake Ryilis incident, but it was time to start working on the original problem: Getting off this rock.
(Kyle's ready when Eerin is to greet Farstrider.)
Eerin will grab his electro-halberd and sonic blaster, deciding that if he needs anything else he will go back for it just before they leave.
"[After you, Captain...]" Eerin says, leading Kyle to the top hatch to leave by, since likely the bottom hatch is buried. He punches in his access code and the hatch hisses open, allowing his Captain through before he steps out into the atmosphere of Tatooine himself.
Eol Farstrider stands at the side of the starship, wearing tattered desert robes. He leans on his hunting rifle, his other hand on his hip. He lifts it to wave at you as you emerge from the top hatch.
"Hey!" he greets. "Told ya I'd be here in a moment."
Very quickly he fills you in on who he is. A lonely old moisture farmer, Eol Farstrider lives out on the Dune Sea. Every so often he takes his crops to Mos Eisley for sale, but for the most part he remains out on the desert.
He glimpses over at the morning suns as they rise.
"Well, fellas, ready to get going? I, er, don't mean to sound rushed, but I spotted some Sand People heading this direction..."
Eerin has little idea what Sand People are, but Kyle knows that the natives, also called Tusken Raiders, are nomads that despise everyone and everything that touches the sands of Tatooine. Whenever you land here, you are always advised to stay within the cities. Not that you had a choice, this time...
"Great, Sandpeople." Kyle automatically scans the horizon with his eyes. "Eerin, seal the ship; we can't have Tuskens in there. I'll tell you about them later." He says to answer the questions no doubt on his partner's mind. Speaking of questions. "Farstrider, this is my partner, Eerin Chim. He's Geonosian, and a friendly one, mostly. We're much abliged for your help. We'll give you what we can for your trouble if we can get our business in town done. We're ready as soon as the ship is secure."
