STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Hunted

You might want to consider the third choice. CryoBan grenades are not meant to be lethal, but if you were holding it when it went off, that certainly could change. And there is hardly cover...

(What I figured, just thought I'd check. And I forgot what vryobans actually were for a moment.... Option three it is!)

As soon as Kyle sees the granade flying he breaks into a run. He dashes across the room and begins firing madly in the direction of the assailant as soon as he crosses the threshold...

Ice grenades, more or less.

Chaaarge! You roll two 19s, blasting away as you enter the lounge area!

The bolts explode harmlessly against the far wall, bursting into sparks.

Nobody here as you come to a halt in the middle of the lounge.

Kyle, seeing no one in the room, advances slowly around the lounge, looking for the assassin.

You step into the lounge.

"You missed," comes the voice of your attacker from immediately behind you.

Crap. Kyle thinks to himself as he freezes in place. Then he feels his face turn red. Trapped on my own damn ship. He slowly turns to face his attacker, blaster at his side.
"Get off my ship," he says cooly, menacingly, staring hard at the other.

You are staring directly into the eyes of Rylis Tavel.

"I'll need help," she snarls. Something is strange about her voice... an uneven undertone, a peculiar warble of some sort. "Only you can. So do it."

She raises her pistol to fire...

His eyebrows knit for a second as the says those last words. Then she raises her blaster. Without even understanding why he did it, Kyle drops his blaster to the floor and throws a strong uppercut right at her jaw.

Your fist connects! But with what you're not sure. It seems that as soon as your hand touches her jaw, she fades into nothing.

"What's the matter?" she taunts, behind you. "Come now, we both know you're no good in a fist-fight. Leave it to the bug."

She has reappeared behind you, in the doorway to the cargo bay.

As Kyle spins around to face Rylis again he dips and scoops up his blaster again. Holding it at his side, he just stares at her a moment, taking in the strange situation.
"What the hell is going on here? What are you!"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Rylis laughs. "Certainly more than you would think, hmm?"

She raises her pistol to fire again.

(Kyle will dodge, and return fire.)

Her bolt zips under your armpit and fizzles against the wall while your returning bolt glances against the doorframe of the cargo bay. In the flash and sparks, Rylis vanishes into the cargo bay.

(Kyle will go to the nearest Comm unit.)

"Eerin! Rylis is on the ship! She just went into the cargo bay, watch out for an accomplice."
He follows after the bounty hunter, blaster first.

Eerin will have come running at the sound of gunshots, grabbing his electro-halberd on the way and storming into the main room.

Eerin, you dash into the lounge just as Kyle moves into the cargo bay.

The cargo bay is the largest part of your starship, Kyle. The crates all slid to one side of the compartment during the crash. Rylis is standing atop them.

Aiming his blaster at her, Kyle moves aside to make room for Eerin to enter.
"What do you want?"

Eerin will charge in after Kyle!

"Freedom," Rylis says. She snaps an arm forward and triggers the launch mechanism on her spike-gun, sending six metal spikes racing towards you...

Meanwhile, Eerin strides in, ready to unleash hell. Except... you're not sure what Kyle is aiming at. There is nobody here but the two of you.

Seeing the attack, Kyle throws himself out of the path of the spikes.
"Freedom from What? And stop shooting if you have something to say!"
