"Poetic. So, what does this movement have to do with all that's gone on todey? The Corporation, the Serpent, the Arifact, Snith who may or may not be Emperor's Hand? What is going on here, and what does it have to do with us? If they think we have that thing, then why don't we just show them we don't and be on our way?"

"I don't think it's that simple," Kara says. "That bounty from the Corporation will stand whether you have that thing or not. You're in deep trouble right now."

"As for our movement," Zane continues, "we have been accumulating resources to send to them. Equipment, supplies, weapons... but the movement is in dire need of skilled pilots to smuggle all these things about undetected. Imagine how the Empire would react if our fledgling Rebellion was caught out unprepared..."

Kyle spends a few minutes pondering things. Everyone will be after him now. He can handle most, but the fight with Ahaz today proved he can't handle them all. He has no love for the Empire, and this Rebellion is going to need tons of supplies. A Rebel is a marked man, but Kyle cannot easily get a worse mark than he already has. These people appear to be pretty handy and well set-up. If they can help him out, he can help them out. more thatn anything else, it all made good business sense. But still, his wasn't the only skin on the line.
"Let me have a few moments alone with my partner here, then we'll give you an answer."

"Just keep in mind that the Rebellion is willing to pay you handsomely, that we can settle the bounty that the Corporation has put up, and that we can protect you both from these bounty hunters..."

"Coincidentally, those are the same points I was just going to go over with my partner, here." He looks at Eerin. "Well Eerin, I'm sold. I see it as good for our business and our necks. What do you think?"

"[We'll no doubt be secretly rebelling... for now]," Eerin says. "[But when the time comes for the Empire to hunt us down for our anarchy, I say let them come. I'd rather have these bounty hunters off our backs now and do the right thing by the Galaxy with this Rebellion. Plus, a routine source of pay is always nice. I say we join.]"

"Well, that's good enough for me." Kyle stands (slowly) and sticks out his hand. "When do we start?"

"When can you?" Zane asks, grabbing your hand and giving it a firm, single pump handshake.

"As soon as we get out ship repaired. We need a new Hyperdrive and some other miscellaneous components damaged in the crash. I don't suppose the fact that the Hyperdrive crapped out just before we hit this system is a conspiracy too?"

You were pretty sure that it was a result of the sensitive equipment being hit with radiation, Kyle. Unless someone painstakingly went in and planted a radioactive cell temporarily and then pulled it out before you came in... you doubt that there is another conspiracy there.

"We can get that for you," Kara says.

(That was supposed to be a mildly sarcastic comment. I was in a hurry typing it at work, so it didn't come across that way.)

Kyle raises his eyes at Kara, "Really? Where, what kind, how much?" He started excitedly.

My response stands!

"According to where we found you when you'd run off, I'd assume you were heading for Zibwan's, and indeed, he's got a hyperdrive in stock. Don't worry about the cost; we'll work that out."

"Well, then lwt's get the show on the road!"

"Kara and I will handle retrieving the hyperdrive and the parts you need," Zane tells you, "but we have something special arranged for you."

While Zane and Kara take their leave of you, Eol reveals another door into a very small room. Within are a pair of bacta tanks. Eol helps you into them and initiates the healing processes. The warm liquid bacta knits up your wounds, the blaster burns fizzling away into nothing and Eerin's cracked armor mending itself. It doesn't take long for you both to feel brand new and ready to take on whoever wants that bounty next.

Zane and Kara return about the time that you are finished healing. As you get dressed, Zane shows you the hyperdrive he has retrieved, a slightly outdated but functional model. It will do, Kyle, but you are absolutely certain that it won't be staying in there if you can help it. There are also numerous replacement parts that he has retrieved, based on what you noticed was broken.

"Kyle hates being submerged in Bacta. He never got used to the different feelings of the goo working it's magic. But, he can never deny how much better he feels afterwards. "Thanks, we needed that', he tells Eol afterwards. Kyle graciously accepts, the hyperdrive and parts, , barely succeding in keeping a straight face upon seeing the dilapidated hyperdrive. Still, he realises this is the very one he would have ended up with himself, had they been able to stike a deal with the trader.
"Well, thanks all around, you got a pretty good operation going on here." He turns to Eerin, "Let's get these in the ship right away." Back to Zane. "So, how does it work, you just call us or is there a contact or something else?"

"[I think first we need to get off the planet]," Eerin says.

Zane grimaces.

"Well, Kyle, the thing is... operations here are pretty much bust. We have some good supplies, but not the resources to keep foiling Imperial operations from the new barrack. And who are we trying to kid, Tatooine is hardly an important world to the Empire. Kara and I are transferring to a different cell. Eol will maintain this one..."

Eol nods. "Not a problem."

Suddenly, the holoprojector that Kara was using starts to beep.

"Update on starship traffic," Kara says.

"It only does that when a ship that's entered in our system comes into Mos Eisley airspace," Zane explains. "Rebel operatives, important Imperials, that sort of thing..."

"Kyle's eyes get a bit wider. "Well, which one is it?"

Kara frowns.

"Yours."

Kyle asks the first question that comes to mind, "Why is that just popping up now? We entered quite a while ago. You already knew about it" It then dawns on him, "Wait. Why is my ship on that list?" Then, more alarmed, "That thing doesn't beep when ships are leaving does it?"
