STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Hunter

"I know you're not that worried about picking up Kyle, so what other things are out in the desert here?"

"Let's just say I've had some bad experiences in this desert," Snith replies. "I always come prepared for everything."

"See, and that is why every time I've been here, I've not really left any of the cities..." Rylis says, pausing for a moment before continuing.

"So, planning on answering any of the questions I asked you about earlier? Like, for example, why you are here when the bounty made no mention of it? Or what these little things you need to take care of are?"

"Good girl. Leaving the city limits is bad for your health, on Tatooine." He looks out over the desert. "Very bad."

After you ask those questions, he sighs. "No avoiding it now. I tell you the truth when I say I work for the Nobog Corporation. But you're right, I wasn't attached to the bounty. Personal choice. Why do you think I'm here?"

"I'm thinking personal vengeance. I did a bit of digging around while we were back on Nar Shaddaa, when you were waiting for the trace to come up, you see." Rylis replies. "So there's not much point in trying to lie to me."

"Aw, am I that untrustworthy that you have to go about disturbing my ghosts?" Snith asks. "What did you find out, exactly?"

"I'm not in the habit of trusting people. And not a whole lot, but enough. Your father was a big deal in the Nobog Corporation and was executed by the Empire after Kyle ratted them out, that you had been at his execution...oh, and that you had gone to the Imperial Academy...did I ever mention that I despise the Empire?" Rylis says lightly. "So yes. Seems to me that you just want revenge."

"Hey, I'm not a big fan of the Empire either," Snith says, jabbing a thumb at himself. "But I can hardly take them down, right? Not little old me, not anyone. So yeah, I'll go after the one responsible for getting my father the axe in the first place, thank you very much.

"Anything else you want to know?"

"Well, for starters, how you had managed to track me down within minutes of me accepting that bounty. Or what the little details you said you're here to take care of are." Rylis says. "And just what you plan on doing once we do track down Kyle."

"No fibs on how I found you, I did trace your submission to the Corporation to accept the bounty. I just happened to be on Nar Shaddaa.

"Now, the little details... those I really can't say. Hmm. I'll put it this way; Kyle's ship has something of interest to the Corporation. I intend to retrieve it.

"And what do you think I'm going to do to the bastard? I want him dead. You can have his smoldering corpse and any credits that come with it."

"Well, then, last questions." Rylis says.

"Any particular reason why you decided to hide these things? And why did you decide to tag along with me? I'm not the only one who decided to go after this bounty."

"I didn't need to share 'em, so I didn't. Would you like me to pry into your backstory? Hell, I might as well. Where'd it all begin, Rylis? First kill and all that."

"First kill? I can't even be sure anymore. I prefer to not kill my targets, but even so, after a while they just start to all blur together. That wouldn't have been the start of it by a longshot, though."

Snith looks ahead of the speeder, then back to you.

"At the rate you're driving, we've got plenty of time for you to talk about it."

What, are you implying that Rylis isn't speeding like a maniac? 😛

"Fine. You want to know where it all began? On Mirial, when I was 14, with my parents being executed as traitors by the Empire because they had been supporters of the Republic all through the war. No one gave a damn about me, not even the rest of my family, and thus I turned to crime to survive. Ended up on Nar Shaddaa a couple of years later." Rylis says, emotionless.

"Anything else you need to know, or will that do?" She adds, the last bit mildly sarcastic.

"Tragic," is all Snith has to say about your backstory. "A victim of government policy on traitors. Perhaps we are not so different, you and I. Parents executed by the Empire and all."

"I suppose." Rylis replies.

"About how long is it to Kyle's ship?"

"Could take until morning," Snith says, checking the coordinates on a datapad.

"But yeah, where we part ways is upbringing. I'm home-grown Nobogian human, grade A, an example of my people! Let's face it, your upbringing was terrible, whereas my father got me into the Carida Academy. How's that for accomplished, eh? And there I learned all the best ways to end people and things..."

He goes on about this for awhile. Feel free to interrupt.

"Personally, I wouldn't rate being trained to be an Imperial drone and kill innocent people to be much of an accomplishment to be proud of."

"Do I honestly seem like a drone, taught to spout Imperial doctrine?" Snith asks. "You must not have met very many Imperial trainees..."
