"Something tells me you won't have to worry about that problem anymore," Xavier says finished with he turns to prepare to be captured.

"Also friend never back down from someone if they threaten you. Defend yourself. I guarantee there are more of your people here then the Spacers. Fight back no matter the cost."

With that Xavier Kolarn will prepare for his slavery.

Wokam watches you go, without response. When you have left his sight, he returns to his stand, closing up shop. He gives one last glance in your direction, then leaves.

Cabas checks out of the motel room once night has fallen.

The two of you, he clad in his robes, you clad in your disguise, walk away from the motel and head back towards the marketplace once more. You can hear music as the night-shift of Pydyrian shops open and beings of all species come out to enjoy the warm breeze.

"I have no doubts that the pirates will strike here," Cabas says, ducking into an alleyway. "I have meditated on it, and it seems the most reasonable place to attack. A surplus of people, all... wait. Do you hear that?"

You hear it. Roaring sublight engines, growing nearer.

Suddenly, there is the sharp report of cannon fire. The music stops and screams replace it.

"It sounds like they are here, Master." Xavier says coldly.

"Should I go ahead and take my leave of you, Master."

"Not yet," Cabas says.

You move to the end of the alleyway, the engines and cannons growing louder as you approach. The orange bloom of an explosion flashes before you as dual-linked cannons take out a booth in the marketplace across the street.

People are running frantically past the alley, moving to your left.

"Xavier," Cabas says, not taking his eyes off of the screaming masses. "You have always been a fine Padawan. I just want you to know that."

"Master," Xavier says, also not taking his eyes off. "You have always been the best of Masters. By the way it is Kyle Jal-Re, now."

Cabas smiles grimly, then places a hand on your back.

"May the Force be with you," he says, before shoving you forcefully into the terrified crowd. As beings swarm about you, you lose sight of Cabas as he slinks back into the darkness of the alleyway.

Now that you are in the street, you can see the source of the explosions. A long, boxy transport has descended into the center of the street to your right, firing a set of chin-mounted cannons from beneath the cockpit. The blasts strike the buildings. Another one descends to the left, cutting off the escape route of the panicking civilians.

Xavier sees as Master Cabas returns to the shadows. Then sees his surroundings. Figuring it best not to standout from the crowd yet, he runs with the other screaming people.

The transports have closed off the escape routes, so the crowd has stopped running either direction, completely unsure what to do as weapons fire streaks over their heads. Screaming continues, of course.

The starships are large freighters, each armed with dual-linked, chin-mounted blaster cannons. Wings stretch out on either side of the mud-colored ships, with two more fins angled over the rear engines. They both possess a single turret on the topside, spitting out blaster bolts at the buildings around to set them alight.

Cargo bay doors swing open on either side of the ships, spilling out their pirate crews.

Right now Xavier will try to keep anyone around him safe from the blasters, or any possible falling debris until the Pirate Crews get around him.

The pirates close in fast, charging towards the terrified crowd from both sides with bulky rifles or metal stun clubs. Those with rifles fire, sending out rippling blue waves from stun blasts. Those with clubs close in farther before wailing away at civilians, knocking them to the ground.

It soon becomes apparent that the blasterfire is not intended to harm, but to cause chaos. It is working very well.

Xavier sees the Pirates coming and decides it's time to show off some. Master Cabas did say make them want you to work for them.

He will dodge the stun club that comes his way. Then Counter with a Hard Strike to the guy's nose.

The pirates with blasters stay back, but setting the rifles for stun limits their range.

Clubbers move into the crowd, swinging away. One tries to come at you, but he is surprised when you simply duck his attack. He's even more surprised when your fist crumples his nose and a few facial bones. He falls backwards, clutching at his face.

Around you, the pirates are starting to drag their victims back towards the transports while others continue pursuing the crazed civilians.

Xavier grabs one of pirates dragging someone. He lifts him to his feet, holding the guy by the shoulders. Then with a swift sudden jerk Xavier pulls the man towards him. Xavier in the same move pushes his head forward into the pirate's skull.

This one is caught completely unawares, and as you grab him, he yelps in surprise. Nothing more comes out of his mouth after you rather viciously headbutt him. He collapses, unconscious, beside his victim.

The pirates are starting to take notice of you. Five pirates abandon their prey to take you on, wielding their light-weight stun clubs.

Xavier figures it is time to show off his speed and strength. HE will dodge the incoming attacks from the Pirates. Then he will use Throw to launch into a wall.

Dodging all of their attacks means you won't get to strike back.

Xavier will dodge enough to get the throw as well. This is as a good a time as any to go ahead and go down. Xavier will have gotten his point that he is a physical specimen.

You can dodge twice. Those dodges serve you well as the first two swing and miss! They have a skill of 6 with those clubs, and dodging they need a 20 to hit you. The attacker that rolled best faces the race of your throw as you grab him by the wrist and fling him to the ground.

One other pirate manages to land a blow, but you only take two damage. The stun baton smacks into your arm with a stinging sensation that gives way to a numb feeling.

At this point, the crowd tries fleeing through the marketplace, but another transport has landed at the far side and is blasting across. They cannot escape.

Xavier arm become numb so he decides to use his Feet. Jumping into the air he brings his foot into the side of a pirate's face. Flying Kick for the win.

He will dodge another Pirate. He will begin to try and go down now, still fighting though.

The numbness wears off immediately, but consider him Flying Kicked! He is flung away, face broken.

You dodge one pirate and the others miss terribly.

The turrets are demolishing the buildings around you with their rapid blasts. The three-storied buildings crumble under the onslaught, since they're not structurally made of anything strong. Mostly mud.
