STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

Just thinking about it won't work. You'll need to find another way of getting in touch. He took your comlink, by the way, before you ask.

A distraction would be very handy, though where the alarm is triggered might determine how effective the distraction is. Perhaps schematics of the ship would be useful?

After busting the armory, what then?

There has to be some kind of Jedi code like Morse code. If that will work Xavier will begin banging on the tank then.

Getting the Schematics could be hard but probably Trax again.

After the Armory it I think the best thing to do is to possibly strike at the someplace away from Loola. That way Xavier can break off and go get her without a lot of problems.

Also that would be something else useful to know where she is at.

Banging on the tank gets attention from the guards outside, who merely check to make sure you're not drowning in the bacta or something. Once they see you're alright, they shrug and head back out.

Hint- think back (or forward) to Luke's plight on Bespin and how Leia came to his rescue.

Trax can do it, though he probably possesses a decent knowledge of The Trade as it is.

That would be useful, wouldn't it? Again, Trax can probably locate her, but if not...

Anything else to be pondered while floating?

(Good Hint)

Xavier whispers to himself, "Master Cabas"

Transportation could be useful. So making sure they can get off the ship will be important. So perhaps Xavier should send the slaves to the hanger bay to secure the ships.

If you successfully shut down Svidrigailov's operation and bring him to justice, they will not need to escape. Even so, the contingency plan would be appreciated by the Order, thinking ahead and providing a means for the slaves to escape danger.

Likely they would be using the very transports that brought them here in the first place.

Yes which means Xavier will need to get a head count of possible pilots who could fly those ships. Plus those ships had turrets on them and could be used to help augment the Slave's firepower.

Only within the hangars. Safe to assume that they will want to scram if it comes to an emergency exit.

Good point hmm. Oh something else, the Pirates have to sleep sometime. Perhaps it would be better if this took place when hte bulk of them are asleep.

Then when they take the armory instead go to the sleeping quarters.

Discovering their sleeping habits (and where!) would probably be part of your prep work as well, then.

Yep.

Alright I think that does it for the general planning anything else will need further details then what Xavier has right now.

Are you suuure?

...

If you're ready, we'll move on to Operation Info-Gather and happy-fun time with Trax the Useful.

Let's see freeing the slaves, getting to the armory, attacking the barracks, saving Loola.

The only other thing I could think of is first how Xavier is going to get himself free. I figure Master Cabas could do that one.

Oh the other problem is Friste, he could potentially sense that something is a miss. So we need to distract him some how. Perhaps putting some kind of sleeping agent in his food?

But yeah let's move on.

A keen Jedi could sense that his own food had been tainted, and Friste, though you think him an idiot, is certainly keen. But it is something to ponder.

Over the next day or so, you communicate your plans to Trax as he tends to your injuries, mending your bones and rejuvenating your body with his minor medicinal skills. He agrees to gather the information you require to execute the rebellion, promising to keep you updated.

He does say that both the slave hold and the armory possess extremely resilient blast doors. You will either need a pass key or your lightsaber, because Svidrigailov boasts that either door could take a direct hit from a turbolaser and remain intact...

As for rallying the slaves, the only issue is that there is an armed guard watching the slaves every night. Usually just a goon, but it could be a problem if Svidrigailov caught wind of who you were and what is going to happen. He is not so prideful as Friste to not avert threats by destroying their source.

So, Trax decides to clarify his list of tasks. So far, he has:

- Schematics of The Trade
- Plotting distractions
- Battle plans
- Escape routes
- Rallying the slaves
- Locating Loola

He says if anything needs to be done, he will do what he can. Of course, he will ask for your input.

Hmm, the easiest way to get around Friste's Jedi senses is to distract him. Have him focused on something else until it becomes too late. Worked well for the Sith.

Xavier will make sure that Trax knows the priority of his tasks.

His first task being getting the Schematics of The Trade. Then his next task will be to locate Loola.

Then his next issue will be to rally the slaves. Obviously the hard part is Xavier getting to the slaves. So perhaps it will be better to bring the slaves to Xavier, or at least the key ones.

So Trax's next move is to get a list of the leaders in the slave community. That way Xavier can bring those key individuals to him to speak.

Finally Trax needs to do the easiest part of his mission. Especially for someone who has been here for awhile. Xavier needs him to document and observe the pirates typical days. When hte most Pirates are asleep. How many guards are stationed at the armory during this time. What Friste does on a normal day. What Svid does on a normal day. That kind of thing.

During Xavier's time without Trax he will still try and get in touch with Master Cabas.

Xavier will also tell Trax to be very careful, don't be too obvious in what he is doing.

No worries about getting to the slaves. Once you're all healed up, you'll be back with them in the brig.

As for leaders, Trax says that there aren't a terrible lot of them. Svidrigailov keeps the slaves in a constant state of terror, always being watched, preventing any 'leaders' from gaining attention. Those that manage anyways are usually sold very soon after or killed if they cannot be. Such an act reminds others not to follow their example.

Trax can very easily tell you everything about the easiest part. There are ten guards regularly stationed at the Armory at all times. Most of the pirates are asleep during the 'night.'

Friste normally is with Svidrigailov or in his own quarters, unless he has some personal task. Sometimes he even leaves to scout new places to raid or strike deals.

Svidrigailov is normally on the deck or in his quarters, unless he, like Friste, has personal business to attend to. But he never leaves The Trade. Ever. He directs everything from the bridge.

Hmm the ten guards at the armory will need to be dealt with very quickly. Xavier will ask if it is alwys the same people watching the weapons at the same time.

Trax says no, but he notes that the changing of the guard usually involves the next shift of men joining the prior shift, meaning that twenty guards may be stationed. He advises avoiding that.

There are also five men guarding the slave hold, not including the one inside.

Xavier will agree with Trax about not trying to take the armory with twenty guards. That also means though that that they will need to know the shift changes as well.

Trax can add it to his list of tasks.

It is a day or so before Friste has you moved back in with the rest of the slaves, regardless of whether you are fully healed or not. Fortunately, the worst of your injuries have been healed. All that remains are the pangs of soreness in your flesh.

That night, you are chained as you were before to one of the many pillars in the room. Trax is not present; he has his own quarters, and you only met him because he was receiving punishment for insubordination.

The guard keeping watch has the lights off, sitting with his glowrod near the locked blast door.

Xavier will look to see if the guard is asleep.
