STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

As he is watching you rather actively with blaster rifle in hand, you don't think so.

Amidst the shuffling of bodies and clinking of chains, there is a muffled clank of something heavy being dropped on the metal floor.

Xavier will try and make out what made the noise.

There is a distracting crackle of something off on the other side of the slave hold, gathering the guard's attention. He rises with gun in hand, casting a suspicious glare towards you before moving towards the sound.

And then he drops to the floor, unconscious, a figure behind him having applied force to a pressure point to incapacitate him with ease.

The figure snatches up the glowrod. It's Master Cabas.

"Master it is good to see you," Xavier speaks.

He casts a cautious glance about, then deposits the unconscious guard into his chair, complete with glowrod and blaster rifle. The majority of the slaves are sleeping, and Cabas waves a quieting hand at those that are not and have seen him.

"I got your message," Cabas says, tapping himself on the temple. "I see the plan is going well, thus far. Why did you need to see me?"

"I've added some of my own dealings into the plan, Master"

"I wished though to bring them by you first for your approval."

Xavier then begins to go over the plan in the details he has up to now. He tells Master Cabas about getting teh slaves to riot and take over the armory. Using that as a distraction to take security away from Loola. Also the other minor details he has been working on with Trax.

He finally adds, "Well that is it for now."

The moment 'slave riot' passes from your lips, Cabas cuts you off.

"No," Cabas says. "I can't allow that."

"Why not Master?"

"These beings that the pirates have taken captive are not soldiers," Cabas says. "They are ordinary citizens of the galaxy. Their skills are mundane, only meant for their advancement in life, not the destruction of others. Innocent civilians, whether they have cause or not, should not be put in such great danger."

"Master you and I both know their superior numbers and their raw emotions against the pirates, coupled with weapons and our skills leading them will overwhelm the pirates."

Xavier continues to keep in his cold hearted voice.
"I have seen these people. It seems like everyone of them the longer they've had this life the more they die inside. I saw Loola with my own eyes, and I promise you master, logically speaking despite her breathing she was as dead as any corpse I had seen."

"I've already spoken with one who said he would rather die then live like this anymore, and he spoke the truth. Please Master all I ask is that you give me time. Let me talk to the slaves. If I can not convince them then the mission can carry out as originally planned. But I feel as Jedi our logical goal should be to free these people both body and soul from this oppression. As Jedi we should die trying to free these people if they want freedom"

"We cannot, Xavier. It would be like pitting the lowly mouse against a pack of ravenous wolves. These slaves would be slaughtered faster than you could say 'J'p'tan.' No, we must carry on as planned. Remove the head and the body will follow; killing Svidrigailov will cripple the will of the pirates, as it did with those that attacked us before."

Cabas is not allowing himself to be convinced by your logic, though you know it is sound... though his is sound as well. However, his plan is far more difficult. Introducing the slave revolt into the blueprints of Svidrigailov's take-down by far decreases the difficulty of pulling this mission off alive.

"Master you are wise, and strong. Killing Svid would normally cripple the pirates but this snake has two heads. The second far worse then the one we intend to stop."

Xavier takes a breath,

"Master Friste Tem lives, and has joined the Dark side. He has discovered me, because of his connection to the Force. His arrogance has clouded his judgment and allowed me to live. He will be aware of what our mission and is and how we, as Jedi, would normally go about it. Perhaps that is his intention to have us kill Svid so he can consume control without hassle."

"Think about it Master if we kill Svid then Friste can come in with all the guards, and we won't stand a chance. We need our own force to stop him. Friste is the real threat now."

Cabas' jaw tightens.

"So that was his fate," Cabas says. "I fear the Council will be disappointed in this news. But it raises the threat level to an extreme, if Tem will stand against us. He has not revealed you?"

"He said himself that he wants to see what I will try. He thinks his fall to dark side has given power enough to foil any attempt I make. Like I said I think in his arrogance and past knowledge of the Jedi will allow him to use us to gain control. So we must throw something he isn't expecting.

"He will be expecting my route," Cabas says. "It is the one that he took, the path of infiltration and sabotage. I will have to double my efforts to remain hidden and shield myself from his senses... but it means I will be able to do little to assist you."

Cabas turns to leave, heading back to the ventilation shaft that he used to access the slave hold.

"I will agree to the revolt... but only if you cannot find an alternative. Their lives are in your hands."

"Yes Master," Xavier says with a respectful tone.

Now it is time to begin planning. Hopefully Trax will get his part done, but just as equally important is Xavier's. For how can there be a slave revolt if the slaves don't want a part of it. Xavier will scan the room seeing if the Guard is still knocked out and then to see if anyone else is still awake.

"Oh, and Xavier," Cabas says. "We must sever both heads of this snake..."

The guard comes to a few hours later, groggily groaning about his neck hurting. He rises and paces a few times, trying to remember what he was doing, but his mind simply isn't clear enough and he is still tired.

Xavier nods to his Master before he leaves.

Xavier watches as the guard get up and walks around wondering what will happen now. Hopefully he'll go back to bed soon.

He does not. The night guard sleeps during the day, after all.

The slaves, as is customary for their health, are allowed to walk about the deck for exercise and supposedly fresh air during certain points of the day. Usually they clean and are tormented... but for three days, you are kept in the hold, chained up, alone. Trax does not come to see you, nor does Cabas. Only a single guard, a Geonosian known as Tun Pik, bodyguard to Svidrigailov himself. He does not talk much, and you don't understand him when he does. Highly frustrating.

But on the fourth day, Tun Pik arrives with a set of keys. He does his usual routine of glare at you and curse in his clicky language, then approaches.

Xavier eyes the bug as he moves with his keys. Hoping this will be his opportunity to get some stuff done.
