STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Trials

Tun Pik roughly pushes you aside so he can... unlock you from the chains? Once he's finished, he shoves you towards the exit.

Seems you're being allowed to participate in the slave community again!

Xavier continues to walk not paying much to the giant bug behind him. This is his chance to finally see how things have been progressing with Trax, and most importantly to finally get the slaves behind him.

Emerging on to the deck, you are met with disdainful looks from the guarding pirates and curious but brief glances from the slaves. After your display of 'bravery,' very few want to associate with you for fear of receiving the same treatment that put you in the medical bay.

But Trax is present, watching out a viewport amongst the slaves, into space.

"Welcome back," Trax greets.

"I don't know if 'Welcome' is the word I would use for this," Xavier says as he glances at the various faces of people that either hate him or are afraid of him.

"So anything interesting happen while I was locked up?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary," Trax replies, still watching out the viewport.

There is a droning hum from somewhere in the ship, faintly heard on the main deck.

"I did some of what you asked," Trax informs you.

"Which parts?" Xavier asks patiently.

"I have located Loola," Trax says, pulling his attention away from the window. He puts a hand on your shoulder and spins you around, pointing you towards another viewport where the blonde-haired girl is standing and watching.

Xavier glances at Loola. He looks to see what condition she is in. Then he looks to see exactly where Trax is having him at.

Once he confirms these things he will look away back at Trax as not to alert the guards.

"Good job Trax," Xavier says.

Her appearance has not changed since you last saw her: weary and unkept, but oddly and sadly beautiful. Despite her appearance, it is an unbecoming look for one so young.

"I am still working on the others," Trax says. "Escape routes and schematics I may not be able to get anywhere but my own mind."

Xavier catches himself lingering on Loola a tad longer than he would like. Xavier isn't one for attachment but logically this is wrong.

He turns and peers off in some direction not looking directly at Trax.
"Then that will do, Trax."

"Perhaps it is time I start my part of the plan. Which of these would you say are the more influential of the slaves?"

"Influential?" Trax asks. "How so?"

"That person everyone seems to surround. Someone who people ask for the answers when there seem to be none. That kind of people."

"You will find that I may be the only person that fits that description," Trax replies.

"I see and the last thing I want to do is add to your tasks." Xavier ponders for a moment.

"Then perhaps it is best to start at the roots. Who besides yourself are the oldest residing slaves here?"

Trax shakes his head.

"I have only been kept about for a reason," Trax says. "All these others... maybe little over a month, at the longest."

"Very well then," Xavier replies.

"I shall go find who I need myself. Unless there is anything else you need me to hear?"

With there isn't Xavier will walk off and begin using Scan on the various people. Most notably he is looking for the emotions of anger.

Trax shakes his head.

The droning hum that had been reverberating through the ship suddenly peaks in a deafening series of thunderous claps as the portside laser batteries (of which The Trade has lots) open fire. The glow of laser beams glares through the portals, causing Trax to cover his eyes.

This coincides with your attempt at Scanning... and you turn up nothing. All of these slaves are scared witless.

Xavier stands as the glow begins to subside.

Well that was helpful, Xavier thinks to himself.

Xavier walks over to the portal. You don't just fire like that unless you are firing at something. He peers outside attempting to locate the source of this action.

Through the portal, you can witness the minor space battle that The Trade has become engaged in. It seems that Svidrigailov has intercepted a large freighter vessel from the Outer Rim. You assume that normally the massive port and starboard cannons that line the sides of The Trade would deter prey from fighting back, but either this freighter has firepower to match or its crew is foolhardy enough to believe that they can win.

The discharged lasers from The Trade have done a number on the freighter's shields, but they haven't given up! Despite a barrage of blasts flaring blindingly against their defenses, the freighter returns fire with a volley of concussion missiles.

Explosives flying at them makes the slaves very much less than calm.

Xavier finds it hard to concentrate on the scene with the people yelling around him. He turns standing to his full height. He directs his stare at the closest people.

"EVERYBODY STOP!" Xavier bellows. He hopes that the slaves around him will stop causing a chain reaction with everyone else.

If they settle enough for him to speak he will add.

"You people are safe, this vessel is more than equipped to take anything that ship can dish out. There is no need to panic, and I find it hard to concentrate with all this yelling. I would very much like to see how this plays out perhaps some of you would like join me."

Xavier will also check to see what the guards are doing.
